I believe Taylor was turned in by fellow teammates who were told, he would rape her himself if she pursued charges against his friend and roommate Brand Gibbons. A Board of Faculty, Administrators, and students found Gibbons in effect guilty and issued a campus ban. Brady Hoke allowed Gibbons to attend a sports award dinner after the fact so he could accept an award.
There were other shenanigans with the campus police. She was raped off campus and hospitalized for genital trauma and while in the hospital campus police interviewed her and somehow usurped the AA police’s investigation. Campus Police made it a he said, she said and no charges were filed. I believe she left school shortly thereafter and it was reported her family were alums.

I actually really enjoyed the interview. There was some very fascinating stuff revealed about the "fraternity" of signals analysts around college football and how they have a sort of market exchange between each other for intel. The story he told about how he got Michigan State's info into the hands of our guy (Ohio St) because Michigan needed MSU to lose twice after MSU beat them was hilarious and exactly the kind of rivalry paranoia I love!
I thought the most fascinating piece was regarding how helmet radio comms is actually increasing the importance of sign stealing, which seems counterintuitive but makes sense once you step back and realize what causes the need to use signals in the first place (the higher tempo offensive paradigm).
I also enjoyed the cat-and-mouse analysis quite a bit. I think it shows how impactful sign stealing can really be. This is important because many people have tried to downplay the impact of sign stealing altogether, but Stalions himself illustrates how it can impact games in meaningful ways.
I encourage my fellow Buckeyes to actually listen to or watch the interview. It's chock-full of interesting and insightful information, even if you find it hard to listen to this guy and/or the hosts.

This is my contention as well. As big as his ego and narcissism is him being the mastermind of all this is a joke. If he is trying to talk to the coaches during the game constantly and they don't want to hear it and think his scheme is crazy they would have quickly kicked him off the sidelines. The other thing is you don't implement something like this on the fly. You need to devise it, think through the what ifs, determine who is doing what, then testing the accuracy of the process, refine it, then test it in real time in parallel with your normal process before making the final go/no go decision. A Board of Faculty, Administrators, and students found Gibbons in effect guilty and issued a campus ban. Brady Hoke allowed Gibbons to attend a sports award dinner after the fact so he could accept an award.
There were other shenanigans with the campus police. She was raped off campus and hospitalized for genital trauma and while in the hospital campus police interviewed her and somehow usurped the AA police’s investigation. I think it's a mix of truth and lies. I think he made up the thing about OSU using the same signaler to explain why he was suddenly so good at it. Doesn't make much sense that Ryan Day's sign stealer was "really good" and had outperformed them prior to Connor and then OSU makes a mistake that basic and continues it even when they suspected michigan was stealing signs successfully.

I actually really enjoyed the interview. There was some very fascinating stuff revealed about the "fraternity" of signals analysts around college football and how they have a sort of market exchange between each other for intel. The story he told about how he got Michigan State's info into the hands of our guy (Ohio St) because Michigan needed MSU to lose twice after MSU beat them was hilarious and exactly the kind of rivalry paranoia I love!
I thought the most fascinating piece was regarding how helmet radio comms is actually increasing the importance of sign stealing, which seems counterintuitive but makes sense once you step back and realize what causes the need to use signals in the first place (the higher tempo offensive paradigm).
I also enjoyed the cat-and-mouse analysis quite a bit. I think it shows how impactful sign stealing can really be. This is important because many people have tried to downplay the impact of sign stealing altogether, but Stalions himself illustrates how it can impact games in meaningful ways.
I encourage my fellow Buckeyes to actually listen to or watch the interview. It's chock-full of interesting and insightful information, even if you find it hard to listen to this guy and/or the hosts.

He's pushing their narrative that everyone does it and UM just got better at it than everyone. Of course, he leaves out the part that UM was the only one who obtained the signals against NCAA rules. Day and OSU may have known Don Brown's signals, but they deciphered them in game or by watching film, not by sending advance scouts to UM games. Also, it easy to lie after the fact and come up with a story for every situation like Stalions often does. Regardless, the NCAA doesn't care about these fables and will bring the hammer down on that corrupt program.
In fairness, Don Brown lacked basic creativity, so it wasn’t difficult to decipher what he was going to call. Most people in the stadium in 2018 knew what the TTUN defense was going to run.

Also, when Stalions says he won’t rat out Ohio State’s supposed Connor Stalions, the take home point is that Connor isn’t a rat. He refuses to rat out TCUN coaches that were cheating. He probably wasn’t the mastermind behind the scheme. He was more like a reasonably capable soldier who did the dirty work.
This is my contention as well. As big as his ego and narcissism is him being the mastermind of all this is a joke. If he is trying to talk to the coaches during the game constantly and they don't want to hear it and think his scheme is crazy they would have quickly kicked him off the sidelines. No way during a game do they want to be distracted by nonsense in their ears not do they want other coaches and players dealing with such a distraction. I don't have a hard time believing that he came up with the plan on how to get the various team signals though. But somebody else came up with the main idea.
The other thing is you don't implement something like this on the fly. You need to devise it, think through the what ifs, determine who is doing what, then testing the accuracy of the process, refine it, then test it in real time in parallel with your normal process before making the final go/no go decision. Especially a control freak like Harbaugh would not just take a flyer on something like this.
