Yeah, I get what you’re saying. I hate that statement too. Like quit talking and start doing.

My biggest complaint with what he said was on this statement:
“Not a lot of stuff that caught us off guard."
I could have taken the defensive line not getting to the QB a lot better if it was all new stuff Oregon did. Obviously wasn’t. That really irritates me.
Once again, would the media please ask some real questions about the defense. Like:
Why can’t the defensive line pressure the QB?
Is there a rift/disagreements between coaches on the defensive side?
We have heard the defense is getting fixed for several years, what do you think needs done to fix it?
A wake up call is when you’re caught asleep at the wheel. They weren’t asleep at the wheel.
So did Urban.
Hoping Day can continue fine tuning his staff and get the defense straightened out.
Coach Prime /S
Ok, thanks for clarifying
Except if you happen to have a big play or touchdown, it would be nice to let the play count.
Unacceptable stat for fourth quarter defense in big games.
I would much rather see him fix the defense, whatever that would take.
I agree with you. I’m just sour still from Saturday night. This team is too talented to have the issues it jas on defense. Day just needs to get the things squared away on defense and it will be good.
If that happens, game over for Day.
So, you’re saying Day is worse than cooper…..well, his tcun winning% is about the same.
The longer this goes, the more fault I give Day.
If what you say is true. This is a failure on Day. I’m not liking the direction this team is going under Day anymore.
Many wanted JL as that position coach. No clue what you all think k of him and how he is actually performing
Really wish the media would ask tough questions
I’m just tired of the same thing year after year. Then the, we need to fix this and fix that. We’ll fix it.
I sure hope that all does not happen, but if it does, some souls searching needs to happen by the AD.
Yeah if I was the coach, he would have went to my press conference and stood there and apologized in front of the camera then I would have excised him with no media questions. That would have meant more than a manufactured apology
Is that a night game? Figured it will be. Yes, there is a lot of pressure from here out. They have to at least beat tcun and win their bowl game.
My point is you don’t bring in a defensive coordinator and handicap him by not allowing him to bring in his own guys. If, and this is a big if, this supposed rift between philosophies between Knowles and Johnson has been going on for awhile, Knowles is responsible to correct it, ultimately, Day is responsible for it to get corrected. Going on two years of it is unacceptable and is hurting the team.
It’s ultimately Day’s responsibility. If he indeed brought in Knowles and is allowing this (rift between Knowles and LJ) to happen, we have serious issues on our hands and the only way to fix it is with a complete overhaul of coaches from the head man himself all the way down to the lowest paid coach.
Really disappointed in the defense. Knowles/LJ need to put the team above themselves and work for the common goal which is getting team wins.
If all of this is true, Day needs to put a stop to it. It’s his team and he needs to run it that way.
I was traveling today. Didn’t any reporter ask about defense and why they can’t get a rush with the front four?
