Knowles and LJ have been asked about it in a myriad of ways. They both shoot down the idea that there’s any drama. It all began in 2022 when Knowles put Jack sawyer in the JACK position and he just looked out of place. The same fans complaining NOW, at that time said that sawyer was being wasted ina position he wasnt recruited to play. Which coincidentally was the ONLY gripe that LJ had as well. He felt sawyer and JT were best as hand in the dirt DE’s not the JACK. He was right and Knowles eventually agreed. Since then, they’ve tried to recruit some dudes just for the Jack spot but have missed on the ones they wanted. That’s when fans once again blame LJ, thinking that’s why they can’t recruit them. If they get more than one dude that can play it and excel, we will see it. Or we can just believe Dave biddle and his “sources”.

I won’t ever give all the credit for winning to any specific part of a team. In todays game, if I did, it would be qb play but even then I’d only give most of the credit to them but not all. LOS play is Uber important! Always has been and always will be but I still won’t give it all the credit tho. IMO, you need a complimentary team with good enough play at each level. You can have an elite part that makes up for another part with shortcomings but you don’t need any part to be elite if they’re all good enough. If you don’t think receivers are an integral part, try imagining 21/22 Georgia without Brock bowers. Elite defense that needed one offensive weapon to bail them out more than once. USC has had great QB’s and receivers but lacked the LOS play. OSU is better than Oregon as a whole but they were good enough at each level to win. You need all the parts to win it all.

I care. Did we lose to a great defense? An average defense? World class defense? I know the thinking on the OSU defense so I was curious how those same fans would grade the Oregon defense. Would a FG for OSU change any narrative? Yes. Should it? No I don’t think so. Both defenses had moments of really good play with moments of the other team can’t be stopped. BOTH did. I’m curious if we would grade them equally or very different.

Would you continue to do that for about 1/10 of your current salary? The entire world knows that this isn’t an option. It’s only brought up by fans that don’t want to lose LJ but also don’t want to keep him for some reason. Can’t have it both ways but keep in mind, the ONLY reason Jahkeem Stewart and Malik Autry are considering OSU is to play for LJ.

I saw an ol miss player drop and grab his hamstring, which is a strong indicator of an injury….but was it really? I saw a 12th Oregon player step on the field, which is a strong indicator of accidentally having too many players on the field…but was it really an accident? Common denominator in all of this: officials missing something.

Yes it’s a time of hurry up and wait…fortunately the OSU fanbase is known as one of the most patient and understanding fanbases out there.

You don’t think Oregon is expecting to win the B1G or make the playoff? I think they have the same expectations. But that’s not the question I asked. How would you grade their defense? I see 2 similar defenses and one team won. It’s ok to give OSU a C minus but what’s the grade for Oregon is my question?
