We can go down the list if you'd like but I am taking issue with this notion that people are so sure it was a pick, and going as far to say that I know it was a pick. When if you look at things like facts and stats, it would in fact not be a pick.

Because despite the fact Day correctly and smartly ran a play anyone that isn't a blind homer can see what actually happened and acknowledge it as a lucky break that went in our direction.

I'd like you to be a normal human being and admit it was a pick that we got away with because that is absolutely what happened. The only people who say otherwise are stubborn arrogant pricks. Like I said what you're doing is one of the things others find insufferable about this fanbase. We can be honest and say yes that should have been ruled an interception but we came away with some luck that ultimately kept us in a football game.

It's not really subjective. That would have absolutely been an interception if not for incompetence on the officials. You can't complain about the OPI call because it went against us and then act like the officials were doing a good job on the should be interception. That's how you create this false reality that the calls ALWAYS go against us and it doesn't.

No obnoxious blind homer because you will absolutely not admit what you know you saw and in your heart knows as well simply because that would mean you have to admit the refs aren't always out to get us. It's fine to admit we got lucky with one and that the refs are in fact not out to get us.

I highly suggest you look yourself in the mirror for a few hours and repeat that until you see the irony of your words.

Ruhl has a 57-51 record as an NCAAF head coach with only 3 winning seasons in 8.

That is such an unfair and misleading interpretation of his skills and talent as a HC and you know it. He's routinely taken over dumpster fires and turned them into viable winning programs. He's doing it again with Nebraska. That's how you know he can build a legit program he's shown it at multiple locations. Something Day has never had to do. Idk that i'd necessarily want him over Day but he would be a great option walking into this war chest not even having to rebuild.

Thanks I just wanted to see if you had any ounce of integrity.

It wasn't an INT. Wasn't challenged, wasn't reviewed, call on the field was going to stand.

Do you share that same energy for the controversial call in last years TTUN game or no? I have a strong feeling the answer is no.

Say I suggest that the Oregon QB (Dillon) threw the same ball to his TE(Ferguson) and our DB/LB (Styles) makes the same play on the ball. Do you then still not call it an interception or are you correctly upset at the officials for botching it and awarding Oregon the ball that lead to 7 points? You see you can be a fan and also not a blind homer. You are an obnoxious blind homer that makes outsiders laugh at our fanbase. Be better.

It was an interception though. We all saw it. If we're being honest those types of plays really shouldn't be considered an INT for the QB in totality because of the other teammates inability to haul in the pass. That's unfair to the QB in that scenario.

Sure.

TE can have control for 1/2 a second it is a catch at that moment.  Tie goes to offense.   Again if DB clearly had it and TE had no control why did DB have to pull it away from the TE to get up?

If you sincerely believe this then there is no way you can make an argument that the TTUN player didn't have full control of the ball before he crossed the goal line last year then? I don't think you actually believe the nonsense you just said but to cope you're just spewing shit out of your mouth. At no point did Will have any control of the ball or have possesion. The DB taking it away from Wills right arm as he's pulling it in isn't any form of possession. Also if the DB hadn't been there to grab the ball the ball simply would've rolled over Will and been incomplete.

Could this possibly just maybe be construed as positive credit towards Day and the coaching staff to know it was questionable and to run another play as quickly as humanly possible?

I actually thought it was quick thinking on their part and his part to hurry up the play call. But that is still an error on the officiating crew and the replay booth. Those types of things the refs should slow down when a potential turnover is in question.

You're allowed to think Day did something smart but also criticize the refs for doing a piss poor job even when it positively affects your team. You don't get to just pick and choose when you like or don't like the refs for doing or not doing their job.

I knew that sooner or later someone would roll out the claim that Vrabel doesn’t like to recruit. Has anyone posted an actual quote from Vrabel in which he explicitly shows his disdain for recruiting?

He said it on an episode a few months back of the Bussin with the Boys podcast with his former players from when he was HC of Titans.

Comment 14 hours ago

Not ready to be out on Day yet. Not sure he'll ever deliver the big one but he's not embarassing us with losses to NIU or Vandy.

That said Vrabel is NEVER coming here to be any sort of coach. He's expressed that he doesn't like everything that comes with the college coaching requirements specifically the recruiting courtship stuff. He literally said it on Bussin with the boys a few montsh ago

I don't know it was an interception. If I look at the stat line, Will Howard didn't have an INT in that game so I'm confused. Also, you are diverting and deflecting.

Idk how you can objectively even say this if you watch the replay where the ball was popping out on his way down he never had an ounce of possession going to the ground. Half the reason the ball didn't become incomplete is because the DB made a grab at the ball. Just take the colors off the teams and then make that assesment. I dare you to grow a pair and then admit what actually happened. Day made a wise decision to rush that play call.

Comment 16 Oct 2024

I don't think he even had the chance to do the ball was snapped so quickly which was very strange.

Regardless of whether or not Lanning challenged it the replay shows it was clearly an interception that isn't even up for debate. Kacmarek never had the ball in his possesion. Literally had the DB not been there the ball pops out of his hands on the way to the ground and the refs call it incomplete. The DB didn't even rip it out of his hands it was literally falling out.

I certainly don't think it was a physicality thing at all.  Rushing yards were almost even, passing yards were almost even, and OSU had 1 turnover.

The total rushing yards doesn't really tell the actual story though. Oregon absolutely shut the run game down the entire second half and almost exclusively all of those yards were picked up in the first quarter. Of the rushing total half of that was done in 1 possession that Henderson ripped off a 53 yarder himself.

Comment 16 Oct 2024

I actually totally agree with you here. It would have been a statistical interception by definition but it was not a bad decision or poor pass that caused it. I should have clarified this.

I actually don't think Kacmarek ever caught the ball in any capacity the only reason the defender was able to make the play on the ball is it bounced off his body rather than the ground because had that been the result it would've been an incomplete pass. The fact the officiating crew ruled it a catch in any way was the least reasonable ruling of the game.

I mean that's usually what the census is all over this forum and social media in general before every one of these games. It never happens but it's consistent.

All over social media our fans mocked Autzen stadium as being small and didn't take the warnings about how loud it was there. Then we watched OSU football lose and had to walk back those comments. It's embarassing.

Comment 16 Oct 2024

Good ol Snake. I knew he'd show up to defend the honor of the poor refs and slag on an OSU player. In this world, it's good to know you can always be counted on.

So you're saying I can be counted on to be fair and just? Sounds like a good thing to me! Maybe if you stopped being a ridiculous homer you'd understand but that's more intellect than you possess...

I didn't slag on JJ at all. It was 100% OPI and the only people saying otherwise are homer fans of the Scarlet and Grey. That's why so many here are irate that nobody agrees. Also if you'd been paying attention JJ been doing this all season just the first time he got called.

Defending the poor refs? Are you under the impression this was the only bad call or non call in the game and that only the bad calls went against OSU? Because you'd be wrong. Oregon was robbed of a clear INT first drive. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge this is football illiterate.

Also you expected me to dog Will and I didn't the kid played great. Well enough to win the game and he doesn't deserve any shit thrown his way despite the final play. We were fortunately in this game because of bad officiating the game wasn't stolen because of it.

Comment 16 Oct 2024

I was worried after he threw a couple of picks this year that we'd see one or two against Oregon, but Howard was generally stellar. Certainly wasn't his fault we lost.

Howard played great on Saturday and definitely stepped up! That said he absolutely threw a pick on the first drive that led to 7 points.  The refs sucked on Saturday both ways and this was to our advantage. Without that blunder we don't even have a chance on that final drive and nobody is complaining about the OPI call.

Comment 14 Oct 2024

Idr the PSU play 100 percent but in this scenario the receiver never had possesion of the ball at all it's bouncing around as he's falling to the ground. As a receiver you have to survive the catch through the ground and he didn't. The DB took it from him with no clear possesion and it was fortunate that the offense got the ball snapped before a review could happen. It was very close to that illinois vs Nebraska game a few weeks ago

Comment 14 Oct 2024

Probably because majority of CFB fans outside of Columbus could see JJ run straight into the DB as he's backpedaling and he only puts his hands up to brace himself and then JJ pushed off with arms extended. It wasn't an egregious call by any means. Once the refs see arms extended they're more than likely making the call.

Also anyone paying attention to JJ has seen him committing OPI most of the season and has gotten away with it. Situational awareness as a freshman got the best of him there.

There have been some piss poor QB’s to win national championships. Will will be fine

I never even said Will was piss poor. He's more than capable of winning a national championship with this roster. My point was that he's not elite simply because Day is choosing to play him.  Some of you just get upset at what you wanted to hear me say rather than what I actually said.

Comment 11 Oct 2024

Chomping at the bit for what? I don't think there's anything wrong with Will personally and he's the best option for the team but calling someone "elite" simply because Day chose to play him is grossly weird. Will is a slight upgrade over Kyle but let's be honest here if Kyle was still here Day never would've looked into the portal for him. Parallel move with upside in the rushing department.

I've taken an active step off of social media as a whole. So I don't really know what you're alluding to but then again it's hard for me to dumb myself down enough to meet you at your ceiling.

Comment 10 Oct 2024

That's not really true. What is true is that Day is going to play the best QB on the roster. Kyle was not remotely close to elite and the guys behind him weren't close to Kyle. Wills on the roster because Kyle left and nobody else was as good as Will.

Will is playing pretty well right now save for our OOC schedule being piss poor. That said he has some obvious flaws that may create problems when the schedule gets tougher. He's already chucked up 6 INT's in 6 games none of those have been good let alone elite defenses. His lack of downfield passing has always been a thing and it hasn't improved here even with the talent upgrade around him.
