Sayin is an excellent QB but Tavien's size/arm/athletic ability combination is really hard to find. He could be Will Howard with much better throwing which is scary.
To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.
Buckeyes have been so close so many times in the past 2055 years. I've become more cautious with my optimism. One game at a time... (1969-2024)
I'm with you Salem - I think I counted them off one time and in the last 55 years we've had a legitimate shot at a national title like 21 or 22 times and we have 3 to show for it (1968, 2002, and 2014)
And they've not won it as "the team". Always the underdog. 2002, 16 point dogs. 2014, 3rd string QB, dogs. I thought 2019 was the best team in my 30 years of fandom. Would have loved to see them play LSU... but no.
It just goes to show how hard it is to win a national championship. So many things can influence the outcome of a game or season. If not for some questionable calls in the 2019 semifinal playoff game, I think Ohio State had a shot at beating LSU if they advanced to the championship game. In 2022, the hit on MHJ changed the entire tone of the game against UGA. They also had a generational QB at the same time as one of the worst defensives we’ve seen. There is also the 2015 team, who likely win a national championship if not for some shitty weather against MSU.
We don’t really know what we have until we get punched in the face. That’s when you really find out what you are. You don’t find that out bye beating up on lesser teams
I can think of more desirable mental states for your team than 'oozing confidence'. But I'm not complaining about the talent that leads to that self-opinion.
St. Clair is the Jeremiah Smith of QBs. Reminds me of what Terrelle Pryor looked like playing against high school kids and for that matter college kids as well.
Sayin starts next year, TSC is next in line with Nolan on the outside lookin in. Lincoln stays as a backup, or changes positions. Brown transfers...that's just my take, and I don't shit about fuck. Does Air transfer?

I’m telling you, we’re on the way to our own Alabama-like dynasty. The future is bright. I gotta wear shades.
Round on the ends and "HI" in the middle. O-HI-O.

It wasn't in the national plan...

Very excited for him to join the Buckeyes.

Don't get carried away by dynasty talk, at least until the OL gets fixed. Plus games one and two were scrimmages, but so far looks strong!

Love this kid!
"The minute we stop expecting greatness, we become Wisconsin."
lol, poor McCord. Even TSC saw that he was no good.
Good article except Ben Logan is not in Bellefontaine ("crosstown foe Benjamin Logan"). I love our stockpile of quarterbacks!

Tavien is Terrelle Pryor only better. I have seen him play in person. He is going to make a bunch of dudes transfer.

Congrats to his teammate for getting a D1 offer.
St. Clair is just other worldly right now. That throw on the run was absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see him in S/G.
The Excellence of Execution, the Best there is, the Best there was, the Best there ever will be!
