We miss out on the personal side of these decisions: my dad was really emotional and my grandfather was really emotional. What a feeling it had to be for Dad and Grandpa. Hope the best for Brady no matter the decision.
Guys like him are going to be rare now. Fewer players will sign at tOSU because this is where they want to play. Many will sign with their respective team based on the money offered.
Toad, I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but I really think without a good relationship with the coaching staff it just isn’t going to work out long term. This is a big change (NIL) in ncaa sports. There are going to be horror stories about this new wrinkle in college sports. But I think as time goes on it will comeback to Who will take care of my kid, will this staff develop my son,is the relationship with the staff sustainable ? Even in my life relationships are most important part. I couldn’t work long term with people that disgust me. I think it eventually comes back to who will develop and take care of my kid for the next 3-5 years. At least I hope so.
I don’t think we’re looking for those guys anyway. We’re looking for the kids with a good head on their shoulders with good parental support. The smart kids are going to know that they’ll get paid regardless. They’ll go to a school where they’ll get a solid education and play for a couch who takes care of them and treats them with respect
A California kid who lists Ohio, Pennsylvania, and _ichigan as states he wants to play college ball in? That was surprising.
Of course, tOSU is a national brand and all, but Texas was the only southern school he mentioned. He has two more years to be woo-ed by all the big schools, but glad he has the Buckeyes at the top of his list today.
The Ohio State University - "Haters love us!"
Baskins and Robbins? Nah, Haskins and Dobbins - KannonMic
It would be nice to see a recruit commit early, actually want to be at a school and be consistent with his decision. The changes over the last 10 years has really soured me on following the recruiting news. Endless top ## lists, photo shoots, late flips, social media trolling and the rest of the current recruiting game take all of the fun out of actually getting a commitment because you know that it really doesn't mean anything.
Michigan will be riding out probation still in 2027…. You can toss Michigan on the has been pile right now…. Never want tobe associated with a program of cheats…
I know NIL may be a strong determinant here so Texas and PSU I understand as possibilities. But I don’t get how a family with such deep Ohio State roots and an affinity for all things Buckeye can have even the slightest interest in Michigan. That doesn’t pass the smell test for me.

MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS

"I'm getting a national championship contender"; not I'd BE getting a national contender.....telling? Let's hope.
If you have two people that agree on everything, that only means one of them is not thinking at all.
Not sure how many QBs TCUN offered...not sure if I should count TEs and converted LBs as QB offers.
Justice delayed is justice denied....#FTP
Hard to imagine PSU or TCUN given the family tradition.
"Everyone has a plan, 'til they get punched in the mouth."
Exactly. It's us or Texas until baby ducks come quacking with huge NIL bag.
Buckeye For Life
In the bag til I hear otherwise.

Not so fast my friend. Look at JJ McCarthy. He was a huge Ohio state fan and when they took Kyle. He went all in on ttun.
Man, this kid is tall. He almost makes Day look like a Smurf in comparison.
Yes, yes....I know the difference is not that extreme.
