Hopefully Jeloni Thurman (so?) gets some playing time and is able to step up in a big way.
With regards to Josh, it really sucks. He’s been so good and reliable for us. Any chance he will be back next year? He’s a senior but it seems that they’re always giving extra year(s) of eligibility these days. I’m not sure how much his injury will drop his draft stock?
He's a redshirt junior. So no "extra" year even required. I think he was probably a >50% gone after this year, but if he's out for the year I'd probably put it at a >50% he's back. But that's just a guess of course. If he was a 2nd rounder coming out healthy, is he now a 5th rounder due to uncertainty? Or is he "only" a 3rd rounder? If he's told to expect to still be a day 2 pick, I'd guess he still goes. But if more likely a day 3 pick, I'd expect him back.
Really sucks as Simmons was starting to come into his own. Was opening massive blocking lanes for our running backs too. Don’t think zen did too badly in pass protection but we definitely missed Simmons when it came to run blocking. He’s really improved and impressed this year into what could have been a first round pick if not injured.
Not to be all doom and gloom but there is no way this team wins the national championship without Simmons. He was probably the single most important (least replaceable) player on this team. We clearly have no depth at tackle and without an elite OL you can't win it all. Honestly sucks it happened in a loss, double Ls this weekend.
At this point just beat the shit out of TTUN and look competitive in the playoffs.

Even before the injury, I thought OSU should make Simmons a priority to hang onto for 2025 . . . a good place to invest some NIL capital!

Sucks for Will. He was surprisingly effective. Losing Simmons really hurts. Go Bucks!!!
Terrible news for both these two student athletes.

Thurman needs to get more playing time and catches.
He needs to figure out what's going on first. There's a reason he was 4th string.
Bummer. He was contributing and having a great year. Get well soon.

The loss of the players far worse than the game loss.
Yes, Simmons especially. We'll see how good Frye's development of O-lineman has been!

Zen and Jackson will be getting looks at LT. They really like Austin getting reps at guard so we shall see where this goes from here.
