Finding an adequate to good replacement for LT is their biggest challenge from here on out. Sounds like they're not confident that Zen is up to the challenge . . . therefore the contingency plans.
He'll, let's just recruit foreign professionals if they're eligible then! Or, maybe not!
Yes, Simmons especially. We'll see how good Frye's development of O-lineman has been!
Actually, I was hoping Day would put the backups in earlier than he did, especially at QB. I would have liked to see J. Sayin in the game in the latter stages of the 4th Q. But that's just me. Didn't really care that much about maintaining the shutout. Those back ups need game experience.
I like the rotation for now, it builds depth and potential replacements for 2025. We'll see how it goes in B1G play.
Just beat scum, win the B1G and go from there. A W over the Ducks at their duck nest would be nice too!
What about 4 and 5* O-lineman?? Where are they??? When will one or 2 of those be committing . . . to us, not Tenn. or G. tech!!
Day needs to start preping for a new OL Coach/Run Game Coordinator (whatever that is; teaching guys how to block effectively??). It's time to move on from Chip Kelly's buddy!
Andrew Berry should be fined by the Bowns for drafting Hall. Can't club execs be fined for "dumbness"?? Wonder if drugs and/or alcohol was involved in the altercation?
Forget Sanders. He's not coming to C-bus. After watching his performance as a recruiter for the past two years, it's becoming quite obvious that Frye can't close on players who he and/or the osu staff have identified as potential candidates for enrollment. Day needs to take a hard look at why Frye misses on so many prime prospects as well as his effectiveness at developing young players. He needs to look at the xichigan and Mizzou games last year in particular.
Why is the freakin' camera set up so all you see is Sayin''s profile throughout the entire interview. Very poor camera work!!
What's that cap Coach Kelly has on? That's not an Oregon cap is it?
A neutral site game with Aurburn maybe, but not a neutral region game!
Looking in from the outside, I have no idea what's going on with OL recruiting, particularly at the OT position. However, it seems like Coaches Frye and Day continue to miss on top of the line OT's. If they miss on Sanders and Petty, maybe a coaching change at O-line is needed. It's quite demoralizing to see the misses year after year.
I was at that game. I remember it well. George Hasenhorl at DT was a beast in that game. Xichigan was the popular pick to win it. A great gritty upset by the Buckeyes!
Who the hell cares about rankings in a video game??! Well, I guess you hafta print something if there's nothing else to talk about. How about a story about where all the coaches are vacationing this summer?? lol
This is one of the reasons I'm glad AD Smith is not at the helm of OSU Athletics anymore. What a dumb ass move it was to give Holtmann an extension. Gene should be helping OSU to pay off Holtmanns big buy out! He's got a few bucks in the bank too.
247 has him crystal balled to the vols. Buckeyes won't get him. Must be something about Frye . . . like he can't recruit 5*'s
Lots of stated goals left to achieve for Hancock's class and those who came back who could have gone pro. Just Hope that reality and expectations meet in 2024!
So when is Frye and Day going to bring in some top tier OT's like Josh Petty and David Sanders Jr.?? Can he do it?
Looks like Tony's put on a few lbs. since he left!
Question: when they wear alternate unis like the gray for Iowa, does OSU buy all brand new ones or do they recycle some of those they've worn in the past??
A basketball question for the hoops writers/experts on this site. As I understand it, Diebler has a spot open on his roster. What do you know or what are you hearing about possible candidates for
the opening. I've heard he's looking for a PF who can rebound and protect the rim. What do you know. I assume he intends to fill the opening but I haven't heard a word about it lately.

I knew a mental health professional who helped us develop a drug and alcohol abuse prevention program in the late 80's. He was a PhD psychologist who was specializing in factors related to drug addiction at the time. Eventually, Ohio Statte hired him and he worked for the football program from 1995-2000. He now works for the Green Bay Packers. Herbie's problems were in the early 90's so I guess he missed Dr. Carr, or Dr Carr missed him. He did some good work for us (Marian University, Indianapolis) though.
