This may be a first: a double post split by another post. What’s the gap between a second thumb tap? Maybe a fraction of a second that BuckeyeJuggernaut had to slide in? Let’s hope the OL makes bigger holes than that today for 32 and 1.

When you are getting paid a million dollars a year as a football coach or really any type of business, the expectations should be high. If you don't want the pressure then coach in D3 and make 75 grand and stay at same school forever.
There are still expectations of winning at the lower levels, they just may be willing to be a little more patient. Ryan Day’s father in law, Stan Spirou, coached men’s basketball at Southern New Hampshire University—which I’d always assumed from its commercials is an online university, not a real place, much less has sports teams—for 33 years and had a record of 640-341, eight conference championships, five Elite Eight berths and a pair of Final Four appearances. He wouldn’t have been there that long if he hadn’t won.

That’s the problem with at least half of targeting penalties: the offender has already committed himself before the other player slides or he turns his head or body and the offender can’t process that new information fast enough to adjust his trajectory. We’re talking split seconds to react. What’s a reasonable amount of time for one “high twitch” athlete to adjust to another “high twitch” athlete’s decisions? That should be the final arbiter: where was the offender’s body/shoulders/head/helmet/crown at the point the other player made a change? If he was at a point of no return, that needs to be taken into consideration. If he was on a line to hit the other player's midsection prior to starting his slide and ends up hitting him in the head or his shoulder hits the back of the sliding player’s head because he turned away but the offender couldn’t react fast enough, he should be flagged for a late hit but not targeting. A ”defenseless” player can also be culpable for his actions, the way the police seldom ticket either driver for a parking lot fender bender unless it’s obvious or there’s security or dashcam footage. In the case of FBS football, there’s almost always footage. That means it's up to the replay booth to get it right.

Great Skully, Chase. Just recommend one fix, buddy:
No. 3 Texas at No. 10 MichiganThe Cheaters (Noon on FOX), Iowa State at No. 21 Iowa (3:30 p.m. on CBS), Colorado at Nebraska (7:30 p.m. on NBC) and a really good Boise State team at No. 7 Oregon (10 p.m. on Peacock).
One small correction re: Tennessee @ N.C. State today. It’s a “neutral site” game. The game is being played at BoA Stadium in Charlotte … not Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh.
Common mistake but it’s nearly a home game either way. Tons of Wolfpack fans in Charlotte and it’s an easy drive/train to get to the stadium from Raleigh.
It’s only about an hour’s drive longer from Knoxville to Charlotte than from Raleigh to Charlotte and it’s through some of the country’s most picturesque and under-appreciated geography. My wife and I were there a year ago this coming week and it was glorious, although it’s even better in October.

He had me at “goals, man”. Geez I love this guy. His attitude is infectious. Think we’ve got something special brewing!
I want what Chase wants what Ryan wants!
A mistake free and efficient football team that avoids injury.
I think efficient is the word of the game for me. Be efficient on offense converting third downs. No pre snap penalties.
Three and out on Defense. Win the field position battle.
I wish the Broncos an injury free game.
My favorite Skull Session of the week. Game Day!
…But now we have to wait all day to play.
here’s hoping Coach Day has THE dialed in and we can enjoy the 2’s and 3’s early in the 3rd quarter.

Tough gig when "meets expectations " means you're the low guy and you're on the hot seat.

I'm squeamishly optimistic.

Let's go Bucks!
Hook 'em Horns!
Self crowned Eleven Warriors humble-off champion.
Whoa. Kent State couldn’t schedule Sisters of the Poor? St. Francis U?
Harry Miller looks like he was a warrior from Conan the Barbarian. Holy moley he swolely!
Set the Earth Reverberating
Do you think he has some eligibility left to play some tight end
GO BUCKS! It’s game day!
Spartans at Terrapins today. I guess the BT can’t go 18-0 on the day.

A certain school up north loses and I think in a way the entire B1G is a winner.

I still don't think that should have been a penalty on Igbinosun. The QB slid after Davison started his tackle.

Hope to see the old Bucks take care of business early and get the young Bucks some quality playing time.

Yep. tcun. Now and forever.
Today begins the first of a long line of disappointments for a crumbling TCUN program while a healthy and ascendant Buckeye program finds its groove.

It's also a bad day to be a Seattle Sounder.
