If the right side of the Offensive Line holds up well in this game, I suggest we stop over reporting that it’s our weak spot? Deal? And let’s be clear, Fryar said he USED TO not like the big spotlight games but now he’s embracing them. Maybe report that? If I eat my words so be it. GO BUCKS!
If Boise came that close to beating them, I don't see how we win by any less than 10 unless Oregon brings their best game of the century. We've got way too much firepower for them to handle, and no offense to Boise State, much more than they've got. Jeanty might be the best Back in the country, but I don't think you'll see a huge difference with Judkins and Henderson both doing their thing. And our WRs compared to Boise's? Fuggedaboutit
...on either side, When I read the bit about a potential Burch injury I flashed back to 2021,
when Kayvon Thibodeaux, the Ducks' star DE, was injured and did not play against us.
That was considered a boost for us, but it didn't seem to work out that way.
Our defense (rightly) catches blame for that loss, but they did force three Oregon punts
after we'd cut the lead to 7 in the fourth quarter and the Duck D closed us out.
I never like when the opposition loses a key player. It's not because I'm altruistic,
I've just seen too many teams rally around the loss to pull out a win.
I was at the game in 21. You're right... after the second time we threw incomplete on 3rd and 2 in the 4th quarter I almost hucked my beer can onto the field.
Tired of people bashing the Buckeyes lack of schedule and Ryan Day's record against ranked teams...Please go out and Show the whole country what this program, this brotherhood is all about...
I’m excited to see that full Chip Kelly playbook open. I think there is ALOT we haven’t seen yet, and we are going to see some “holy shit, what was THAT”!?” Moments tonight
Good stuff. I enjoy these rapid fire style, opinion articles.
The thing I noticed about Styles, he's tall and he plays high. When in pass coverage it makes him less quick to react in space. Compared to Higgins for Iowa who is a couple of inches shorter and plays shorter. He covers ground and closes making him very effective.
If Burch is injured, the Ducks don't play down a man, they play with a 2nd team DE. Probably a high star recruit who will be ready to go.
If Howard outplays Gabriel, it will be not making mistakes or breaking thru on the ground.
Buckeyes need to take it to them. A 4th quarter game will be dangerous on the road.
Will Howard is essentially Kyle McCord with a weaker arm and more mobility, but with the same tendency to lock on to a receiver. Last year McCord still had that problem in the last game of the year and it cost us. If Howard still has that problem today it will cost us. If he plays clean we should win. On D we need to be focused on not letting Gabriel run. He has been a slightly better runner than Howard, and our game tapes tell OR that we don't handle that brilliantly.

I hope there are no injuries. I hope the Buck's practices and preparations were Championship style this past week.
Buckeye by birth. Christian by 2nd birth. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17
I hope the refs call the game fairly.
no fake targeting or other weird calls
go bucks!!
Oregon stole the game from Boise state.
Man, I hope you're wrong, Dan Hope. I'd much prefer a comfortable lead for the good guy in white, in the 4th qtr.
I'm squeamishly optimistic.

We gotta beat those sunsabitches next year.
"I expect Howard to make less mistakes and more impact plays, leading OSU to a narrow victory. "
Sheeeeeit
"I expect the game to come down to the final minutes"
Double Sheeeeeeeeeeeeit.
38-14. OSU.
Michigan. lol.
PSA: grayed out comments get read the most. Thanks!

@Garrick Hodge The proper English is "FEWER mistakes", not "less mistakes"
Dan is right about a lead change in the 4th. OSU will be up 10 going in and change it to 17.

That rug really tied the room together

Hoping that we can get some possessions with a short field, and vice versa for the Ducks.

Including PSU and USC, seems like the visiting team from either the West or East coast have a losing streak. Hope the Bucks are not of that trend.
