Intriguing. If Indiana wants him (and apparently has offered already) then if he fits at Ohio State then offer him. Upper Arlington is a large high school and the competition in that division in Ohio is good and of course he is also playing against strong competition in AAU ball.
I say sign him up.
In old Ohio there's a team that's known throughout the land...
From his quotes, I really like him. That last quote about competition got my attention. He talks like someone who doesn't mind putting his head down and going to work.
He may be able to play the 3 in HS but he has to keep developing so he can handle that position in college... has to be a ballhandler with low TO's and also be able to handle the D... Luv his outside shot at his HT ... hopefully he has that killer instinct, you want players who hate losing and works to make sure that he can do it all...
This is a tough one as you can't offer an in state kid unless the offer is good. Right now he apparently has a few mac type offers and Indiana perhaps. A lot of talent in 26 in Ohio. Hopefully, the kid keeps working and earns the offer.
He's a 6'9" three point shooter whose release is no higher than a guy that is 5'9". Those shots that I saw in the video, aren't making it to the rim in college ball. He hasn't even played his junior season of high school, though, so plenty of time to work on that. Good luck, young man.
What are you talking about? His shot looks really good. He starts at his waist so he is in the triple threat you can't run around holding the ball over your shoulders. He has good knee bend and his mechanics are really solid. You do realize that his release is where he let's the ball go, it's way up over his head and in front of his eyes! Nothing wrong with this kid's shot!
First love his attitude. Always need players who want to compete, this makes a program complete from top to bottom. As a few have mentioned, put on some muscle, but that will come, the kid is still growing. I would like to see him work on his quickness and jumping ability. At 6’9” and possibly taller by the time he hits college, some explosiveness in his jumping ability would be huge. Let’s Go Buckeyes!!
Most generally when you see a kid with his size and game at his age just get better seemingly over night means he is a worker and has a great attitude, we need these type PEOPLE in our program.

Nice handle. Needs to get that release point higher up.

OSU will win title this year - Dr R, 10/13/24
I've seen all of his varsity games the last two years as I follow UA athletics...
He's definitely very good and has a shitload of potential.
He needs to get in the weight room for sure.
Last season, he was a bit inconsistent but that's to be expected from someone so young.
He can really shoot the rock for how tall he is.
I'm definitely looking forward to watching him play again this year.
Just offer the kid. Would be a good role player worst case scenario.
Nice to see a UAHS kid doing so well! Go Golden Bears!

6'9" and shoots 3s? Put some weight and muscle on him and get him on board! Keep working on handling the ball and he's got a bright future.
