Neither coach can win big games so yes. They need to be fired.

When most HC’s take years to figure out how to win national championships, yes Day should get more time.
Day: Stay. The loses are frustrating but coaches need time to figure it out. We are a spoiled fan base to even consider getting rid of him. He’s far from perfect but it could be so much worse. We think it’s plug and play success because it went Tresse/Urban/Day the last 25 years but that is the exception. 70 years of no significant downturn in the program will do that to us.
Knowles: Stay. I want to see what our defense looks like with the Jack before firing the guy. Unless say a Marcus Freeman somehow becomes available.
LJ: Go. Knowles is more valuable at this point. The disconnect between the two can’t be happening and I really don’t care whose fault it is. Thank you Larry for everything you’ve done and the memories you helped create but it time to enjoy his grandkids. As for a replacement I have no idea. Preferably someone who is high energy and dynamic in recruiting with southern ties. Go get the Coach Lock of DL coaches.
Frye: Stay. Oline has improved a lot and he works well with Chip. Frye without Kelly I’d say go but as long as Chips here he can stay. Sometimes people just work well together.
Great, I work about 10 minutes south in middleburg heights. Can’t wait to see what restaurants go in around the area.
There is a literal galaxy between what Oregon and UM can do offensively. Are you that insecure?
My attorney say's I'm going to need the "access to hookers" in writing.
You're missing the point. Good offenses don't fear any defense anymore. They just have to execute better. It's better the warts are being exposed in week 6 then in the last week of the season. There's actually time to work on the deficiencies in actual games then just bowl practice.
Maybe he realizes the hookers that Hugh Freeze promised aren't real. He has to pay for the hookers now with his NIL, not that he gets NIL and hookers.
It's not necessarily the number of three's really it's how he shoots them. He probably wants a small uptick in three's from Garland regardless but the key is more variety. He wants to get him more off catch and shoot and coming off screens giving the offense more motion. He doesn't want the majority being step back or dribble around until he has to shoot like he has a tendency to. Atkinson is stressing multiplicity and that includes Mitchell as well.
This guy already has 11 sacks so in OSU’s defense he could have easily gotten 6-7.
That is a bold assumption given all the reasons you stated before the quoted part but with Akron/WMU/Marshall he might have a shot.
1. Apologies, you spout enough of the sky is falling drivel I just assumed you said PSU would win if not in this thread then in another.
2. All good offenses are bad matchups for defenses. We have a really good offense too that will be a problem for any team. Defense blew against Oregon however it doesn't need to the 85 Bears to win. Better execution and playing their assignments gets them to a competent enough level to just be good enough with this offense.
Sawyer tried it and it failed. He can survive as a standup rusher but the Jack is so much more than rushing from a two point stance. Styles/Hick/Reese are probably the guys athletic enough to do both, but none of them have a complete skillset for the Jack yet.
And did you forget it's a James Franklin PSU that also had to pull a rabbit out of it's hat to beat a very mediocre USC with a much worse defense?
Texas also hasn't played anyone. Let's see what they do against UGA before we get antsy in the ole pantsy crowning their asses in week 6.
Sounds like a last minute up in NIL for the kid
Why they can't slide down to DT or sub out for Curry at times?
That's because Curry and KJ and lined up inside. I get they're trying to use quickness to beat IOL but a stunt/twist/blitz would work so much better with that personnel package.
Why? He's just going to play pattycake and drop into coverage here.
Always bringing gas to cheer us up on a sad bye week
First round grades in week 6 mean nothing. Plus he's coming off a season ending injury. He's probably not able to test at the combine and athleticism is his best trait, hurting his draft stock. Fact is had he finished the year like he started he was probably a second rounder, maybe a late first but that's if his play continued throughout the season. There's some good tackles who aren't injured in the draft as well. He also doesn't have the tape from previous years to show scouts. Also NIL can probably pay him more than whatever mid late round pick he will be.
He can leave but I'd imagine he stays.
Which is why I really want someone like Fulton to do a longer form video showing three things:
- This is what Knowles scheme is supposed to look like when he was at OkSU
- This is what a LJ DL does well
- This is the combination of both, here is LJ's influence not working, here is Knowles influence not working
and then just let everyone come to our own conclusions because I doubt it's just one or the other openly defying the other. That doesn't make any sense. To me it looks like they're trying to work but it's a bad fit for whatever reason.
I think it's pronounced "Ion" like his going to flip the ion canon and buss down hoes... while playing in the OSU defensive backfield.
Plays like that show his QB smarts.
Unfortunately plays like the slide show his QB farts
Yea but it's not why we lost. There's 59:50 of game play to point to why we lost. Like the OPI, it's not why we lost but not happening probably helps us win.
Agree with everything, doubly agree with the last sentence.
For example if he makes the CFP final and loses the next 2 years he’ll most likely have a .500 record (without removing the Michigan cheating wins either) against top 5 teams and people will still complain he’s soft, not a killer, not a big game coach ect.
2 v 5… that’s a top give game.
Couldn’t be more wrong
