People keep saying they shouldn’t have left it to the doubters. It was pretty clear they were methodically working down to a close FG try. Passing at will. Nobody saw the refs coming up with a negative 15 yard play in the final 30 seconds. But they still had a victory in hand in spite of the dodo defense and subpar offense in the 4th quarter. Til a ref inserted himself into the game and came up with the only call that could significantly stall them at the last second. Where have we seen this story before. But no one cares after the fact. They just want the W or “fire everyone!” Lol

Someone apologized. But looking at the cheesy grin on his face after spitting blatantly showed what he really thinks.

PSU is a two trick pony. That TE, the TE and the TE and then the RB. Much easier team to attack on defense unless #10 covers him….  We complain about Knowles but if a DC lets a TE have 17 catches, most of which were wide open?! Then we would have a reason to melt down.

Allar just needs to be blitzed every down until he gets PTSD. He always panicked and looks for the TE. They are a decent team but don’t give nearly the same amount of angst going in as Oregon did.

That doesn’t always work because top teams may lose their top QB or top WR/RB etc. resulting in.a late fade on the season ranking.

It’s not entirely a factual take. There is one defensive call for all the defense. LJ is in charge of  subbing the line and therefore to a certain extent where DTs and End rushers align. 
Blitzing is an issue but on this defense the job of the ends is mostly containment (with the whiff by JT showing why) or creating mismatches on gaps so the LBs and safeties can blitz.  I wonder who told JTT to take out the RB or if that was his own call?

I feel they tried but their blitzes weren’t creative enough and were picked up easily.

There were a couple goal line stands that were solid so hope people can keep it in perspective. This loss will either bring them together to work harder or will end the season

I have heard so much about the Buckeye’s “superior talent”. They were matched on the field speed for speed and NIL for NIL. The only difference in that game was the location… that is worth a couple points.

I feel both smarter and much dumber after this week’s breakdown. I remember when the big discussion was only 4-3 or 3-4. Then run Dave into it ad nauseam. This game has become sooo intricate 

I do find it amusing and somehow expected that Day would immediately give a Pavlov’s dog response to hearing’Michigan’ at dinner to respond “It’s the Team up North” without even looking up from his mashed potatoes 

A fascinating observation. If you get a chance to see comments on Chip Kelly interviews on say YouTube. Even the ElevenWarriors videos. The majority of comments are from Oregon fans showering Chip with fond memories, respect, credit for raising their program to prominence and wishes of success (for all other weekends barring this one). He gives credit to all others from the coaching tree to the players executing. Class act and humility. Always been that way. Always will. We are lucky to have him

For my work I traveled internationally constantly. Had a Dr tell me once it takes a day for each time zone traveled to normalize the body clock. I feel the coaches probably start tinkering with the player’s body clocks early in the week to be ready for whatever is game time independent of the time zone. With 54,,000 people screaming (“those are rookie numbers …” I can’t imagine the boys won’t be jacked for this one. Not too worried about the travel tbh
