I'm expecting a rematch with Oregon in the B1G championship, and I expect our Buckeyes will own the night and earn a first round bye.

Glad they have a bye week to help them establish some chemistry with that amount of overhaul.

I have no worries for Sonny. He is going to be a great LB.  Expect he’ll peak when it is most important.  Good move from safety to LB. 

The pollsters are very reactionary this early in the season.  I've always hated the polls, but I do like the playoff rankings a little bit.  It will be interesting to see how they stack them all up at the end of the season, going to the new seeding method.

The ADs who fire their head coaches every 2-3 years deserve all the mediocrity they get from the practice.  Not every coach is a Nick Sabin or Urban Meyer.  There's no patience for building a program.  Every time they fire a coach, they are starting all over.  In this day and age with the transfer portal, it is even more difficult to achieve the stability needed to be successful.  Florida and Wisconsin, from a history standpoint, are average programs.  Both had a really good coach once who propelled them into greatness for awhile.  When they stepped aside, that success went south and has been difficult to achieve again.  But they can't fire the coach every 2-3 years and expect greatness.  It just won't happen.

I could never understand the GPA bonus.  Since paying players is allowed now, instead of $150,000 to the coach, why not divide that up between players who earn a 3.5 GPA or better?  An athlete who must balance their academics with sports requirements who gets a 3.5 GPA or better is quite an impressive person.  The coach doesn't do that work for them.
