That’s also a point he made to McAfee. No one is more disappointed and down after a loss than the players. He also emphasize it’s much easier to get players refocused and discipline after a loss than after a big win.

Oregon better watch out. Purdue sucks, but it’s a short week after a big win and they’ve never been to West Lafayette before. That place is a natural downer.

I initially felt Day should have called the timeout. I understand why he wanted to hold the TO so he could get the FG team on the field. Were seconds more important that the TO?  Probably. However, the way the game played out, had he taken the TO at 22 seconds, then there would have been no TO when Will slid so lose the game anyway.

Why not run the ball from the 28 and call TO then?  Maybe. But I think Day is thinking about the Georgia game.

Why didn’t the clock reset to 10 seconds with the 12 men on the field penalty?  That’s what I want to know.

Just tough luck at the end. The loss is on the D and Knowles showing again the he can’t dial up stops in the second half of big games. That said, he can’t make the tackles. ONE solo tackle combined registered by Sawyer, Hamilton, Williams and zero pressures/sacks/TFLs.

Weather Underground forecast is no biggie. 50% chance of rain around kickoff, declining through evening. Wind 5-10 mph.Weather won’t be an issue.

In addition, the other idiotic narrative these fools continue to repeat is “well, Michigan still beat OSU, Maryland, Ohio State, Iowa, Alabama, and Washington after the operation was uncovered.”  Didn’t Stallions state on the Netflix doc that he gave a hard drive and spreadsheet of all the play calls, videos, etc to a third party for safe keeping?

Duh Joel, I wonder how they continued to pull it off.

Questions that I’d love Klatt, McElroy, Quinn, Herbstreit, etc to be asked are - if an advance scouting/recording op provided no competitive advantage to ttun, then why did they do it?  Just for shits and giggles?  And why embark on such an elaborate, sophisticated, expensive, and SECRET op if there was no competitive advantage to be gained?

Absolute lack of critical thinking by bloviating pundits preferring to repeat the same narrative over and over wishing it turns true.

Oh he cares. But I’m pretty sure he’s a sociopath and probably a narcissist. Two of the “dark triad.”  It’s why he insists he did nothing wrong (ie, only “exploited the rules”). The tell was during the “doc” when Brohio was being interviewed and mentioned Stallions’ sloppiness wrt the Venmo payments, Stallions was noticeably embarrassed. In his mind, he’s the greatest “Michigan man” after Harbaugh. The parents are a piece of work too.

If you put in “Ohio,” the algorithm would most likely pick PSU over the top ranked G5 team.

Yes PE is in charge. And after all the “overhead” costs are stripped out so the PE firm realizes it’s targeted return, what’s the value in five years?  Usually less.

PE is getting into a lot of non-traditional targets these days chasing returns after strip mining much of the productive economy.

Yep. A return above x EBITDA is all the firm will care about and the covenants will dictate it. Conference is selling out today for a promise that will never arrive tomorrow.

Comment 13 Jun 2024

Short term capital infusion to enrich the commissioner and other senior leadership is the result of all PE deals. I work with these vampires. PE firm will only hold a 20% stake will be emphasized, but it’s a 12 school conference. This means each school technically only holds 8% each of the conference. Said another way, 20% at least if future revenues will go to the PE firm and the 13 (12 schools plus the conference divide the remaining 80%). Something tells me the conference leveraged up back when money was free and it’s time to refi but money isn’t free anymore. Conference and schools will have no say on who the PE firm sells its 20% stake to in five years.

Stallions:  "Edge pressure right."

Harbaugh (looking to his left at Stallions):  "What?"

Stallions:  "Edge pressure right."

More likely one of the former bag men serving a different role now, but also likely at the behest of Joey. Dallan is from Memphis and Memphis is an Ole Miss town not a Memphis U town.

Interesting pic of #s 18, 10, and 33.

Who are missing?  Nolan’s still hasn’t lost his black stripe but I’m pretty sure Kienholz lost his during Cotton Bowl practice.

Bud, it’s the total body of work.

It isn’t necessarily what you say, it’s how you say it, but I doubt this will register with you.

He’s an antagonistic narcissist. It’s a shame because he does make some really good points if you can get beyond the insults.

Through the grey out, I agree with you on all except Jones and probably Watson and Rodgers. Aaron may never play again, and although it was an extremely small sample of three plays behind a collapsing O line, he looked like a very old, fragile old QB all three plays. And Watson, he’s also a shell.

Murray, yeah begrudgingly next guy in line ahead of Fields.

Is Fields #20 or is Wilson?

I've come to my conclusion that it would be a mistake and Ohio State isn't going in this direction.  Birm said yesterday that one of the things BoB has already done in his evaluation of the offense is that Fryar is a guard and will be moved to RG.  The RT is currently on the roster, and it is Luke Montgomery, but the Spring RT competition will be between Luke and Tegra.

*edited:  The last sentence is also via Birm.

I came across this article linked in the SB Nation's "BC Interruption" site this morning.  https://www.si.com/college/tmg/mark-blaudschun/a-jersey-guy-obrien-bc.  Who knows about the credibility of the author.  Amongst all of the "almost a done deal" in the article, there's one sentence that caught my attention.  Basically, the author is saying that BC wants a provision in BoB's contract that would "penalize him" if he left for the NFL.  Probably a buyout with some sort of escalator clause should he leave for the NFL.  Now, nothing in this article or anything else from the BC media side comports with what we are now learning about multiple candidates, two interviews each, decision by the weekend, but I'd have to think, if true, such a provision would be a deal killer for BoB.  Come on BC, how stupid are you?  You can't look a gift horse in the mouth, but that may be what they are doing.

Sometimes one just needs to sit back and allow the other side to fuck things up.
