Maybe that will be a catalyst. As a great Buckeye once said, “Go crazy, folks! Go crazy!”

Thank God, no.
Merry Fucking Christmas!
It is SHOCKING to see him doing this well. More proof of Derek Johnson’s genius, I guess.
Is he a decent blocker, or is he more of a WR playing TE? Kacmarek was the starter for his blocking ability. Neither Gee Scott nor Jelani Thurman are regarded as good blockers.
I’m pretty sure Bama played Wisconsin in Camp Randall.
Honestly, yeah. For a freshman to be in the running for the Biletnikoff is insane, and totally indicative of what a freak talent this kid is. I don't see Ryan Williams' name listed there. Enjoy JJ while we have him.
This game is going to have massive implications, and could be decisive for our entire season. Looking at the entire B1G schedule, though, I see where Wisconsin has both PSU and Oregon coming into Camp Randall. We may want to start rooting for Luke and the Badgers just in case.
That hasn’t been 100% confirmed yet, but, Joel Klatt hinted that his crew would be in HV for that game. If Fox does indeed get that game, it will be at noon, particularly considering that the World Series will likely still be going on then.
As a Reds fan, I just cannot fathom that Luke Fucking Weaver is now the literal heir to Mariano Rivera in the Bronx. He was HORRIBLE with the Reds last year.
The truth is that this year's team is more 2008 than 1998, 2015 or 2019. The 2008 team had a lot of veteran leadership come back to win a title, but, those players were more solid college players than future NFL superstars (Laurinaitis, Freeman, Malcolm Jenkins, Robiskie, Hartline, Beanie). The most transcendent talent on that team ended up being a freshman phenom, and the team ended up grossly underachieving expectations.
USC vs. UCLA is that week. That matchup has lost a lot of luster now, but, it’s still a big rivalry. Those two schools would lose their minds if that game got put on Peacock or BTN, and it’s not going to be a Nooner. That leaves NBC or CBS.
Clemson and Oklahoma used to be perennial Playoff teams as recently as 4 years ago. Not anymore. Things have changed quickly, and those two schools have been the quick risers (read: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) in the new NIL Era.
I’d bet very strongly that Purdue on 11/9 will be a night game on BTN. The Buckeyes will want a home night game, Purdue will want the prime time exposure for recruiting, and BTN will want the OSU ratings.
I believe both programs still have to agree to playing a night game in November, and OSU will never agree to play a night game a week before TTUN. You can mark the Indiana game down as a Big Nooner, IMO. If OSU has another home night game this year, it will be Purdue on BTN.
Purdue or Illinois is ridiculous, but, if you want me to be 100% blunt, I actually think we're somewhere in between Notre Dame on the low end and LSU on the high end. A team that always gets high-ranked recruits and puts players in the League, but only occasionally comes anywhere close to true national title relevance. We're not on the same level as Saban-level Alabama or Georgia, and we're falling behind Texas and Oregon.
- Penn State: #1, and it's not even close. This is the most talented team top-to-bottom that we will face on our regular-season schedule- and this includes Oregon. The Ducks may have better weapons outside and better overall speed, but, PSU has the (far) better defense, better RBs, better TE, and, yeah, better QB. Oh, and we're playing this game at the toughest place to play in the country. Good luck.
- Indiana: We'll find out more about Indiana when they play legit defenses (starting this week), but, the Hoosier offense has looked LETHAL so far. Kurtis Rourke may be the best QB we'll see all year (told you guys).
- TTUN: It's the Game. It will always be nerve-wracking. Despite their well-publicized problems on offense, they still have a legit defense, particularly up front.
- Nebraska: Iowa 2.0, only with a better (if inexperienced) QB. This will be a tone-setter for the rest of the year.
- Northwestern: Weird things happen in Chicago in November. The Buckeyes should win this game handily, but, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some agita involved.
- Purdue: If this one has any drama, there's something seriously wrong.
That will be the first really legit defense that Indiana has faced this year. We'll find out a lot more about both teams in that one.
He apparently broke his arm on that dropped catch that should have been ruled a pick. He’s reportedly done for the year too.
Downvote away, but, he’s always seemed like a decent guy to me. I hate to see anyone get injured like that, FWIW. He apparently had surgery immediately after the game, which brings back terrifying Alex Smith / Teddy Bridgewater flashbacks. Get well soon, 97.
Simmons and Kacmarek are MASSIVE losses in our protection schemes. Oregon doesn’t have the kind of great pass rush that PSU and, yes, TTUN have. I’m even a little concerned about the Blackshirts, to be honest. It won’t be the same offense going forward. The defense just can’t stop any offense with a pulse. I could easily see 2 or 3 more losses.
Texas beats us- badly. We’ve already lost to Oregon. PSU beats us, as does UGA. Miami is overrated, but that game would be a coin flip. Bama would be a dumpster fire of a shootout. I’d rank us anywhere from 5-8 now. 4 is ridiculously generous.
I always was in favor of Matt Campbell when Urban stepped down. His team is still undefeated, ranked in the top 10, and has just as big a win as Day’s does. He knows Ohio like the back of his hand. Could be the second coming of Tressel. Just saying.
Same, brother. Same. I’m tired of being fed a plate of bullshit time after time and being asked to think it’s a gourmet delicacy. I’m done. Major changes are needed.
