I think the grades are a little low. Yes the Oregon game is the most recent memory, and unfortunately some ugly memories, but I compare our defense to where it was pre-Knowles and think we are better off. I also think if the OPI or clock timing is different in the Oregon game and we had the W, we would be feeling better about everything overall. I am still optimistic this team is going to be in the CFP championship game this year..

Stock up: Eleven Warriors. I read other team web sites and have yet to see anyone close to the quality content, variety, and pertinent information fans enjoy. Kudos.
schadenfreude never felt so good....
Chase, great call on comparing the wide receiver photos! It will be exciting to look back on both of the groups 4 or 5 years from now...maybe the greatest group of WR's to go to one college in a decade ever.
I want next season to start now.... and 2025 can start as soon as 2024 is finished. Stoked for the future
I take it back to the prior defensive stand. Because JT got that TFL, it forced ND to throw on the next play, which was incomplete and saved us using a time out. We obviously only had one second to spare when we scored, so without that play, we may not have had enough time.

The Hodgepodge has become one of my favorite columns I look forward to each week. Great content, fun, informative, a little bit of everything. Nice work Mr. Hodge and Thank you.

Ahhh....what a difference a week makes! Let's bring home the Natty!!
Stock up: Eleven Warriors articles and commentary about the game. Honest about our performance, realistic about what this means to them personally and relatable to what it means to us as fans. I appreciate the collective professionalism, while enduring the pain of a fan.
Stock up: Eleven Warriors commenters.. Most of the comments seem very thoughtful, honest, pragmatic in the face of a painful experience. This is THE GAME that matters most...everything hinges on it. Beating Michigan, winning the big10 and being in the CFP all flushed down the toilet.

I wonder, if it is a close, competitive game, if the loser might still be in the CFP? How great would it feel to beat Michigan twice in one year.
Thank you God for such a great witness in the man of Kamryn Babb. The response of everyone around him shows the love, respect and admiration that goes way beyond football. This is life that is really meaningful. May we all live that way.
I was wondering the same thing. Coaching or players? I am leaning toward the coaching might be more of the root cause, just based on what I read here. I really enjoy and appreciate the films studies. Thanks for the nice breakdowns each week.
Nice win. I like that they don't get down on themselves as a team. Great fourth quarter. However, I would like to understand what causes them to not get a play off before the play clock expires. This has happened multiple time this season, and had some yesterday and many close calls. Is this the play calling from the sideline making changes, is it on the quarterback, are we trying to be smart and change to match what the defense is showing, but not doing it quick enough. Maybe a film breakdown topic?? Or any knowledgeable readers that can help me out?
Iowa offense.... sounds like an oxymoron
Stock up: Chase Brown, making a smooth transition in taking over the skull sessions and delivering quality content daily.
When I saw this play in real time, it made me think it was the same play we ran against Clemson, when Ruckert was just as wide open. I assume it's always been in the playbook, but Day/Wilson are savvy about when to call it (based on the situation, defensive alignment, and skill set of other team). Also makes me look forward to the plays we haven't seen yet!
I really enjoy these views. You can see the blocking and holes opening on the runs and the routes for everyone on the passes. Thank you for sharing!
I was impressed by Stover's catches. All hands and all solid. Nice that they are giving defenses yet another dimension that they have to prepare for!
"When it all comes together, it's a beautiful thing to watch," That sums it up perfectly for me. It is exciting this year to look forward to a game and watching how the defense will play. I know it is early in the season, but looks like a great hire by Day.
I must admit.... I really love being spoiled.
Shoot, that is amazing.
I am tuning into ESPNU on Sunday. Congrats to the team and thanks to Eleven Warriors for the coverage and making us aware of what they have accomplished.
