Why the DVs? This is a compilation of the best boner scenes from the Summer of 2003.
Day said Ohio State needs to win the turnover battle and the rushing battle in matchup games. He added that the Buckeyes also have to limit explosive plays against talented teams. "Those things have to get fixed."
Yeah, that rushing battle would have been won by feeding Trey a little more. Probably could have leaned on the run game some more and ate up clock.

Sawyer and JTT really heated up last year as the season wore on. Hope to see the same going forward.
If they don't put the 12th man on the field and the result is still an incompletion, aren't the Buckeyes worse off being in a 4th down situation with the same 6 seconds to go? Maybe I am misunderstanding. Thanks.
Also if on the next play, Howard gets down a split second quicker, we potentially make the gw fg. In that case Lanning would have also looked foolish bc the penalty gave us the extra down. If the pass were still incomplete on that 3rd down without the 12th man on the field, the Buckeyes are 4th and 25, no fg attempt, and attempt last play prayer. So really we could argue that the 12th man penalty both gave the Buckeyes an extra down to work with and/or could have been the difference in yardage for a makeable FG to win the game. All depends on the outcome of that 3rd down play and/or if Howard is down in time for a timeout. Point is there are more than one result in which that gamble doesn't pay off and the media isn't licking Lannings nuts.
Dan Lanning is getting way too much credit for this supposed "genius" strategy. It is hard to tell if the 12th man even impacted that play for certain. If the Bucks get a 10 yard gain to the 33 yard line on that play, the 5 penalty yards would have moved them to the 28 with a 45 yard attempt rather than a 50 and if they make it Lanning doesn't look so hot.
Couple of things that come to mind for me.
1. The $20MM dollar team narrative is meaningless. There are lots of teams now with big bankrolls. Aside from that many teams are using those moneys to bring in transfers. Ohio State, for the most part, used those funds to retain players for a 4th or 5th season. A lot of my friends who aren't Buckeye fans constantly drop that line bc ESPN continues to reference it (bc of course they would).

"After throwing four straight incompletions to begin his Ohio State debut against Akron, Will Howard has been on fire to start each of the four games since the season opener: vs. Western Michigan: 10/10 vs. Marshall: 11/12 at Michigan State: 12/13 vs. Iowa: 10/10"
He has been pretty solid out of the gate the last four games...
Bama vs UGA is nowhere near the historic rivalry game as OSU vs TCUN
45-10
Rot in hell.
I didn't know Sam Darnold was in The Last of the Mohicans???
