The benefits of converting a 2pt conversion, far outweigh the cons of failing when down by 1 pt. By definition you can’t trade scores & win when you’re down by 1pt.

Simple math dictates you will have to score more times than your opponent unless you convert a 2pt conversion… btw, if you fail you’re now down by 2, not 3.. but oh well. you already have to score more times than your opponent anyway because youre already trailing after the scoring exchanges!

I don’t blame these kids at all. Their athletic prime is remarkably short (18-22). Seems insane to ask them to burn these years when they can preserve via redshirt and potentially excel somewhere else. This is their dream not ours. This is their chance not ours. They’ve been blessed enough to have D1 schools interested in their abilities & have every right to save their eligibility for a program that wants them to shine.
