Gee Scott has turned into a sure enough beast Powell. He's hurting people. I sure hope he keeps it up all season. Got fairly soft hands too. He's hell to tackle, especially for any DB.
So do I understand this - the written offer of athletic aid seems to be the national letter of intent but just under a different name?
OR - if someone signs early, no other team can talk to them at all unless they enter the portal? It seems like a recruit can easily opt out & switch teams as long as no one recruits them.
Waukee is a Des Moines suburb and the Jacobsen name is well regarded by people who are familiar with the family. Evan’s father is an orthopedic surgeon (that’s him over Evan’s right shoulder). His older brother, Michael, played basketball for two years at Nebraska and two at Iowa State where he was a crowd favorite because he was a hustler who wasn’t afraid to do the dirty work. He started 123/132 games including all of them in his sophomore-senior years. He shifted gears and is now a TE with the Saints. Smart kid, too—got his degree in finance. Evan started as a sophomore on the Waukee basketball team.

The way I see it, the players have the power right now and the schools are looking to take it back. It’ll be a different kind of contract that will be more binding and will have teeth to it.

We've had 2 TEs drafted in the last 3 years which is still better than most. Also, a new guy calling plays on offense who hast gotten 2 TEs drafted the past 5 yrs. One of those went from being a walk on to a 3rd round pick in 2022.

Gee Scott is playing tough. Surprised how much he's improved.

Have to agree with you, JTA. He looks a lot heavier as well which can only help for his position.
Michigan. lol.

Well, here’s hoping they’ve all hired agents.

Nobody tell him OSU is where TE's go to die... until they get to the NFL and have long lives.
