Unfortunately, people just remember the L or the W.
The wake up call was the first loss to TTUN three years ago, just keepin it real coach Day.
Any team that deliberately takes a penalty with 12 players to burn seconds off the clock is not above throwing a game on purpose to Wisc or Illinois in order to avoid another game against Ohio St on neutral field. Just sayin'.
Meh... Lanning is everything thats wrong with America, always looking for a loophole to exploit to get ahead. Just because its legal, or within the rules, doesnt make it ethical/right. All good, karma is a ..... And it will come around to him and Oregon.
Hope the Buckeyes are focusing on Nebraska and not these stories. Its over, cant change what happened. Focus on the goals, Buckeyes control their own destiny.
Not sure I put it on LJ. He is coaching under the construct of Knowles schemes. Knowles views the DL as eating up OL so LBs can make plays.....when Ohio St has let the DL be more agressive in the 2nd half of games this year, they have done well. The problem at Oregon, damage was already done in the first half of play.
I hope the Buckeyes can look forward and focus on Nebraska and not let Oregon beat them twice. Take receipts and move forward.
The difference in this game was team speed. Ohio St was constantly playing behind because Oregon has faster athletes and our defense couldnt hang. Next time around Ohio St should think of a ball control game, run it down their throat with long drives, keep Ohio St defense off the field .
Urbs was 13-4 against top 10 opponents during his time at Ohio St. Urbs achillies heel wasnt big games, it was those couple games we didnt look ready to play, i.e. Purdue and Iowa.
I think its the coaching philosophy of stealing it in the 4th qtr instead of smelling blood in the water and going for the kill early. I just dont see that in Ohio St. Love my Buckeyes but that killer instinct isnt there. That game could have been won the first half.
Interesting, Day supposedly told NBC interviewers that he wanted to get into the 4th qtr and steal the win.....now he says it shouldnt come down to one play? Make up your mind dude.....
Bucks will finish with three losses and no championships. Next loss BIG championship. Will squeeze in cfp and lose first round. Our defense cannot compete with teams that have equal talent. Sawyer and LBs noneexistent in the game. Burke exposed and burned.
BIG conf should sit him for multiple games. Spitting on some one is considered assault in many states.
Bitch ass move. Just say f you and head back to the huddle.
Its alright, its alright, its alright....Cocaine - Eric Clapton approves.
Im with Ramzy's pick. 38-20 Buckeyes. Close first half, Buckeyes pull away in the third with depth and adjustments.
Its going to be a good game....for three qtrs. Bucks pull away comfortably in the 4th. Too much depth, they will wear Oregon's starters down.
Key to success, DBs cant get frustrated. Oregon will be successful on the quick passes sideline to sideline. Limit the yards after catch to a minimum.
Oregon isnt going to know hit them. Ohio St playbooks on offense and defense will be opened a little. Oregon is Oregon, they arent changing, they cant change.....Ohio St is a different beast, talent level and experience on both sides of the ball allows coord to do different things. Just a hunch.
Offense playbook will be opened a bit more. Im thinking Buckeyes will have the Ducks confused, just a hunch.
Shouldnt they be at an SEC school? Or at Bama disecting the L to Vandy?
@Kaleb Johnson..... Bet.
Alrighty then. 730pm est it is. Looking forward to Joshua Perry's analysis on NBC.
I am thinking more of the same as what we have been seeing. Sluggish start first qtr. Our defense seems to need the first qtr to get adjusted to the game. By mid-3rd qtr Bucks will be up by at least three TDs. Iowa hasnt faced a team with this much speed and talent. I also like the Bucks aggressive off play calling and going for it on 4th downs. It is going to wear down defenses.
Good luck to you Hill. Now lets go get a guy who wants to be part of The Ohio State Univ.
