They did get stops in the 2nd half and when it mattered. We were never more than 1 score from winning the entire game. Kinda like the year when we should've beat Georgia and won a championship. Offense finishes the game and we're not over analyzing this defense. Yes it wasn't pretty and one of the best offenses ran up some points and yards. This happens in college football to even the best defenses.
I'm sure our coaches are and will be well aware of where he lines up and have a rb or team to assist. Or they will just run the ball at him and take him out of the game. Ole ole.
Well crap! Injury bug hitting in worst place oline. Great that we have an experienced back up, but not ideal.
Bottom line. The only team with a pulse in the running game, ran for over 200 yards. We have a much better oline, and 2 great backs. We can run over this team. That will be the difference. Not needing to mention our defense is way better than Boise States.
It means they received 10 more down votes than up votes and that turns their comment to a very light shade of gray that is hard to read.
Day wins the games we are supposed to win. Only big ten team that has beat a Day coached team has an asterisk by it's wins and come December those wins will be most likely vacated. Losses to Georgia and Clemson come with very questionable reviews by a review booth that reverses calls on the field that were correct calls. Those 5 games change Days coaching resume.
I think the difference in this game is trenches. Ohio State is just more physical and is used to being more physical. Oregon might get there eventually, but not this year. Ohio State wears the duck defense down and pulls away in the 2nd half. Bucks by 10.
This is what we can control. This is all we should be worried about.
Remember when most everybody said we couldn't recruits anything besides wrs? And defensive players were hard to get with our new defensive coordinator. Look at us now. Great times.
Enjoy your last fleeting moments of being able to act like you come from a reputable institution. The clock is ticking and all the dirt from up north is going to be headline news.
If we can't play well in the rain, then we aren't championship material. I bet on the 23.5 spread and I think we win comfortably rain or shine. Our offense is not a fair weather offense. It's a run it through your defense and pass it to the outside on your defense perfect for crap weather.
NIL evened the recruiting playing field for us. Now that we can and will bid for recruits, we get more of the players we go after. Lots of people act like we miss a lot of recruits, but I'd bet we're doing better now.
I'd be fine with McCord throwing passes to the Buckeyes again. He does a great job of doing that in big games. I wouldn't be one bit upset if he went North.
Living an hour away from happy valley. And working in Clearfield. Most of my coworkers are either alumni or fans. And yes I get grief every single day. Most of the time, I say nothing, but occasionally I'll point out how long it has been since they beat us. It doesn't slow down the smack talk. After the game, there's not much talk until somebody beats us. Hopefully this year we don't lose any games.
Isn't the line change determined by the betting? As in Vegas never loses.
Did you not watch McCord last year? I was a supporter of him all season. But he didn't get the ball to our elite players enough. He didn't see wide open receivers. He was bailed out by Harrison too many times. Sigh, that was last year. Howard gets it, he'll get the ball to our elite players. That's good enough for me.
Easy way to do this, We the fans and ohio state media no longer recognize those games as losses. If two separate histories are kept so be it.
Awesome! Oline looked good to great and should play better with Donovan back.
You might want to check their latest cfp brackets with 6 sec teams in.
The 2015 team is proof of a veteran team that came nowhere near what they should have accomplished. Expectations were through the roof and between coaching and players underperforming the year was a disappointment.
Maybe they're worried about players running into a desk on the sideline? I'd imagine the odds are pretty likely for it to happen with as many games that are played.
You care to compare the mgoblog attitude toward ohio state fans that post there?
I didn't watch the game, but I am a firm believer in experience. This WMU team is old, they've seen a lot of football and conditioning. They are grown(groan) men. I don't believe they stack up with us athletically, but strength and experience I'd bet they do. I expect a blow out, but would not be surprised if they hang with us longer than most want. Usually I'm a we smoke that Mac team. But my mind says maybe not. Here's to me being wrong.
Unless your kid is on that team. How could anybody in their right mind trust having that weirdo coach their kids? I can't imagine him teaching anything that would make them better people. I made my kids play sports to learn values and that most things in life are earned by hard work and dedication. I would be extremely surprised if this psychopath teaches anything positive.
If they make tcun forfeit the games... gold pants should be awarded to the last 3 teams.
