I agree with most that the lbs looked slow to react and even missed some tackles they should have had. This won't go down as their best game. A lot of work to do. That said, it looked exactly how I expected at this point. No Simon, Styles at a new position and CJ/Reese getting real action for the first time. I believe by mid season this group will be a strength for our D. We just need to let them gain experience and stay patient.

That's hard to believe. Especially with a freshman qb. I have them with 3 loses by the time they play our buckeyes (Colorado, Illinois, Rutgers).

I agree with your take. Unfortunately the difference (I think) is both those teams mentioned could rely on their offensive line to push people around in the run game. I hope we have that advantage as well based on last year's line, I have my doubts.

Hopefully we find a qb who can hit the deep routes as well. Nothing makes a dbs mouth water more than knowing the qb can't test you deep.

The qb position is becoming more concerning for me. I hope we go with the qb who hits the receivers accurately and on time. To many playmakers in the wr room to not have a qb who can get them the ball.

Terrible news! I hope its not true, for him and the team. We absolutely need to add a rb from the portal if true. Its dangerous to enter the season with 4 healthy scholarship rb's. We've gotta add someone for depth.

I'm not sure how one would win a discussion like this. My goal has been to explain and understand. The goal of the "most of yall" in the post was to separate the few believers from the non believers. If the conversation wasn't about OJ most of the people celebrating him going to hell would tell you they aren't believers. But when someone you didn't like dies ie. Oj, those same people celebrate that he went to hell.

1. The offensive line scares me. I sure hope we add to the talent of that group before it comes back to haunt us. 2. The defense should absolutely dominate this season. Talent and experience all over the place. 3. If Ballard is taking 1st team reps why wouldn't he be in the rotation at the start of the season? Are you hearing hes not being productive or just assuming bc he hasn't broke the rotation as of yet?

I'd have all 3 out there for this one.

I haven't seen the snap counts yet but a rotation is Def necessary. Teams who are capable are going to game plan to wear on our big boys. We've gotta have depth!

Penn state and TTUN are my concerns. I don't care and am not worried about Purdues o line. It's psu, ttun and the playoffs for me. So we need to figure out how to offset this issue or we will not reach our goals. Again, psu and ttun both have a qb who is good enough to beat us if we give them all day to throw. I love our secondary but even they will struggle if they have to cover all day every possession. We need to find a way to produce pressure or once again, we will not reach our goals.

Very proud of our defense! They were resilient and fought hard. That said, we've gotta find a way to stop the run against teams who can run behind a big, physical line and eat up the clock. To me, it looked like ND used the team up norths strategy. That's a problem. Lastly, we can't get a damn pass rush to save our life. Our d line looks like they're just waiting for the qb to throw so we can try and knock it down. If we're going to let the qb take a vacation in the pocket, we'll be in big trouble in the future.

I think I'm more impressed with wku's passing than everyone else. I think they really test our buckeyes. We win this one but will be challenged. 38 - 27.

Henderson doesn't have vision and goes down to easily for me. We have better backs on the roster.
