it's small, but the stadium was pretty freakin' loud. I can see that having an effect on the motion penalties. A bit surprised by the delay penalties as I thought the helmet comms would help with that, but maybe he couldn't hear that either? Whatever the cause, the penalties and the fumble really took the wind out of our sails just when it looked like we were about to blow it open in the first half.
Yes, and I've got the psychic scar tissue to show for every one of those 19. All that scar tissue adds up. Nowadays I'm pissed for a day, and then let it go, unlike my earlier years when those would depress me for weeks. I guess I've developed Buckeye calluses.
Oregon saw something they could exploit in Burke's game, and boy did they exploit it. After the first 3/4/5 times in a row, the staff should have made a change, if for no other reason than to give Oregon a different look they probably hadn't schemed for. You know the definition of insanity....
Signing a form letter is the absolute bare minimum. He should still sit, if Oregon has any class at all.
it's the opening day of Duck Season! Go get some!
Are you going, SL?
I saw that story yesterday. That's a heck of a lot of raccoons! Yet another proof that no good deed goes unpunished.
I think it's like Philly said above, there's a limited amount of equipment to go around. And, having a kid currently involved in it, the equipment is freakin' expensive. I know it's different for little kids, but for high school, the helmets alone are pushing $1K each for a new one, and several hundred bucks just to recondition one (don't recall the exact figure this year, I should have paid more attention) which they have to do every season. Then there are pads, another couple hundred, etc, etc. Don't get me started on 'drip.'
It's fowl play this week.
Isn't she the one that cost scUM his recruitment for 'reasons' or am I misremembering?
I'm with you, but I have it on good authority he's going to be in Eugene. No doubt he'll be mugging for the TV.
Peacock sucks. Sounds like it could have been worse. Too bad about Purdue.
Wear black to your own funeral. Sounds like a good plan.
About this time yesterday, the projected track centerline was within a half-mile of my sister's house (about 500 yds from saltwater), which would be within the eye. Today it's projecting about 4 miles to the south. Still too close! By good fortune, she flew out on a long-planned trip on Monday. Hope she has something to return to. No football at IMG this week.
It sounds like they didn't fire him, like almost every other school would. Pure Michigan!
I remember reading years ago that execs traveling internationally from some companies (IBM, Boeing, can't recall?) were not allowed to do any business at their destination for the first 24-ish(?) hours, until they had some time to acclimate. Jet lag is also much worse when traveling East.
In other breaking Michigan Man news, Jabroni Peppers has been arrested for DV. You be you, Weasels.
Edit: and coke. Can't forget the coke.
I'm looking forward to threat level: dumpster fire.
It's impressive how quickly they pump these out every week. It's just too bad they couldn't have worked in another shot at TCUN this week. Maybe put them in the coffin.
That was a rookie mistake by Bjork. You don't expect those from a guy that's been around as long as he has. It's nobody's business outside the family. Not good, Ross, not good.
