They may win out but PSU took the big step today OSU did not in Day's words. A 2 loss team still likely makes the playoffs but anyone really excited for that given the makeup of this team? Zero confidence in Day to win a big game.

Maybe, but Ryan Day fucks up again. This loss was a coaching loss. Period. Guys played hard, scheme tucked. Period. Ryan Day is not the guy. Lost last 3 to Michigan regardless of scandal that is TBD. Lost last 2 to Oregon. Lost last bowl game and multiple playoff losses. Dude ain't it. Period.

OSU looking spotty in areas and Autzen is a tough environment so I think there is a better than 50% chance they lose. Self inflicted wounds will decide the game and right now we are losing.

Howard should throw deep more, he doesn't have to be super accurate if it is one on one coverage. Look at the receivers making plays around the cou try today, not just Smith and Williams. My opine is if you have one on one and no safety help go ahead and air it out and the down side is minimal.

I don't care about the first 3 games. I do not think we get better playing these kind of teams. I care that we said we wanted to start fast and waited for the second half to do it. I see a repeating trend here with Day's teams so hopefully they can actually start fast next week.

Ohio state has looked bad against Michigan the last 3 times out cheating or not and we were spoiled by Urban. Day is Cooper 2.0 until he isn't. If we make the playoff every year, which we should going forward, but do not win a championship in next 2 or 3 years, will that convince people? I hope he does win but ask any coach in college who has the most talent and has not produced championships the last 3 years.

Not sure if this was posted but this is an excerpt from CBS article. Loser: Mid-level department bloat As of Sept. 30, 2023, Ohio State's Human Resources database lists 139 athletic department employees with salaries exceeding $100,000. That's just one example of the bloat that infiltrated programs around the country as they searched for a place to deposit the annual fortune generated from high-profile college football. A weighty chunk of Power Four revenue is now expected be used to pay the players, which could mean trouble for the army of associate, executive, assistant, deputy and senior athletic administrators employed by most power conference schools. Basically stating this settlement will hurt the management departments at schools and I think we all knew ohio state had a ridiculous budget but this is silly all the people they are paying.

I read this story and it can come across two ways, one they are getting hammered which is why he left or two he left and there is no hammer to drop because he is gone. As well the NCAA wanted phones and records which were later dropped as per the story. Listening to a lawyer discuss the situation it seems the NCAA has little left to do since Hairball left. Unfortunately if any of the thoughts or opinions in this story and book are remotely true Michigan is going to get a slap on the wrist.

Wow, Michigan beat writers protecting the school and not reporting the bad stuff. This sounds so familiar to another situation but I can't quite put my finger on it. Hmm.

ND will maintain its independence, go to the SEC or the BigTen and in that order. ND has said they do not want to be the third team from Indiana in the BigTen. SEC is intriguing probably because they have the Chicago market and is a northern school so they help in that respect. I do not see them doing anything.
