we can shit on LJ for alot... but PSU had literal elite DLs under Johnson , did he produce alot of nfl talent ? not always, but PSU DLs were always top 5 in the nation

or .... chip kelly historically doesnt call plays over the middle...and if we are being honest .. with how uber athletic Safeties and LBs are getting... using the middle is being used less and less so WRs dont get killed on the field so easily. also Oregon's scheme is exactly like UGAs... which protects the middle HEAVILY
I think you are forgetting that Chase young started getting double teamed consistently AND osu was scoring so fast and so much the defense was getting put on the field …. Plus against clemsob , Okudah injured his hammy and didn’t play the entire 2nd half and wade got ejected on a bs call
why do you think a player who injured his achilles, acl, pcl and ankle all in a span of 15 months run a 4.8?
Miyan went undrafted because of injuries …
Pete Werner by PFF standards was the highest ranked B1G LB for two years in a row …. Also by other metrics , in 2 year span …. He had a passer rating of 21.7 in his direction & was the best run defending LB in the B1G two years in a row … just cause werner didnt have the “big name” doesnt mean he wasnt arguably one of the best LBs in recent memory
.... what ? They were good blockers in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021... problem was Day was calling terrible plays that put WRs in terrible blocking position. Example OSU vs PSU 2022, that game day continously called WR screens against PSU DBs who were in press coverage all game and were known to be extremely aggressive. WRs looked bad in blocking but in reality, Day was putting the WRs in no man's land in terms of blocking. Also, Smith didnt teach shit about blocking .... it was Evan Spencer who did. Are we forgetting in 2016 and 2017 when those WRs couldnt catch, block or run routes outside of KJ Hill.. ?
Honestly .... this is why i continue to say... the obsession of some OSU fans to run 4-3 with 3 down LBs consistently is dumb. You are purposely limiting yourself on defense with 3 LBs who can get abused if an OC is smart enough to realize it. Especially with how garbage sonny and cj have been (both are inching closer and closer to bust level) , its best going forward that Simon and Reese are the Mike and the Will , and Powers (IF styles keeps missing clear run gaps) takes over at the Sam
Dawayne Golloway literally is just not a good prospect. OSU saw him and they were not impressed whatsoever , now maybe if Walton thinks he can develop him maybe.. but as a prospect he is meh... also Brew is now projected to flip to OSU
the Bullet existed.. you just didnt noticed, it was supposed to be a bigger safety who covers LB, WRs AND RBs..... pete werner ended up filling that role because he was that good to essentially be the "bullet".. as long as your LBs are good enough , you can run a 4-2-5 and be fine
they share zero similarities... i would go a step further and say Browning was 1000x the player that hicks was, Browning was good at both Off-ball LB and pass rushing , he just never got reps at both due to 1. the obsession with Borland 2. Pete Werner and Malik Harrison both being elite
that doesnt change that the competition in comparison to national .... is very poor lol
Julian is a bit different, he was extremely talented, but with injuries like his , its just hard to think he could suceed
Freshman Year - Injured his achilles
Sophmore Year - Injured Hamstring
Junior Year - Injured Hamstring and MCL
Senior Year - Hamstring and mysterious core injury
dude's body was broken down before he got meaningful snaps
Honestly coming out of HS, i wasnt excited about him. He came from poor competition who just happened to be the most physically gifted player on the field at all times. Hell even his recruiting profile said "while athleticism is elite, his diagnosing skills need to continue improving ..... that screams "i cant read and react at the pace of my athleticism". Nice kid but if he isnt exclusively pass rushing, i just dont think he is a good enough LB at the collegiate level
quite literally, he is known as one of the leaders in the clubhouse... hell even leads their Prayer , stop letting one play dictate stuff
‘06 to infinity brother
under Greg Stud... you know the guy produced the abysmal 2018 OL that couldnt run a lick of anything .... or you know the fact he rarely recruited...?
ironically enough, #58 is my frat brother lol , we both crossed as members of Alpha phi Alpha and when i asked about stewart, he legit said "that was one of the fastest and hard people ive ever had to block" ..... mind you Stephon is one of the top OT in the nation this year
Over reese ? Love powers but absolutely not
This was a problem before Frye lmao
we saw the same game ? I saw Seaton get bullrushed multiple times and even saw a CB almost knock him off his feet. CU fans were not that happy with his performance, especially with how he struggled with speed rushers
OC/DC for UGA to take advantage of Kirby's CEO badge , maximize the amount of cheap upgrades and then leave after 1 season
2 of the players you names were drafted before 2010 when pocket passers were a norm & Jaref Goff has proven that while he IS above average, he is extremely limited
That was proven false actually , they have been raving about the WR blocking all camp
