Smith is an incredible talent and will no doubt break many if not all OSU receiving records before his time in Columbus is done. Having said that, I don't like to hear pronouncements like that coming from a freshman or coming from the individual at all. Let someone else say that about you, don't you be the one to say it. In addition, it's smart to be respectful. There is a guy called Egbuka in your own room, after all.

Longtime Buckeye fan. Have memories as far back as 1964. Was in the stands when Archie ran wild against North Carolina and nobody knew who he was. Am a husband, father, grandfather and crazy fan of the greatest program in the history of college football.

Donated buckeye tree on Oregon campus is great stuff.
Funny. To my way of thinking, the Karen's are the whining homers who bitch about the refs for making the clearly correct call. I love Curry's passion, but his lack of discipline led to Marshall putting points on the board. You can get away with that against the Marshall's of the world, but not the Michigan's.
Wrapped him up? There was no wrapping on that play. There was only contact by Curry with his helmet to the head and neck area of the QB, followed by a two handed shove well after the ball was gone. I’ve seen a boatload of BS targeting calls. This was not one of them. It was a bonehead play by Curry that opened the door for Marshall TD. Wrapped him up, LOL!
Quite amazingly, Caleb may turn out to be one of the all-time great Buckeyes.
“…make routine plays routinely.”
There’s that phrase again.
Agree, big if. Injuries aside, I never saw anything from Fleming during his time at OSU that suggests he might blow up to be a number 1 kind of guy.
C’mon Mike! You left for the pros to support your family. DO IT!
Katzenmoyer was good, of course, but he's not even the best Buckeye LB, in my opinion, so wouldn't be under consideration for me. AJ Hawk was better, in my opinion.
That was my first thought as well. So the "Grandaddy of them all" is now a second rate attraction. Nobody is going to want to watch an 8-4 Baylor squad, for example, play 9-3 NC State in The Rose Bowl. Questionable decision for sure.
Not at all in favor of entering the NIL equivalent of the nuclear arms race. There’s no keeping up with Nike if they go all in so don’t even try.
Give this ZZ deep track a listen
For the most part I don’t mind when a kid transfers out. There are two, however, that bugged me.
1. Ewers, because he used OSU to get a payday and seemingly played Day in the process.
2. Dallan Hayden because I thought he was a terrific back that Alford and Day (because the buck stops there) badly misused.
First one is on the kid, second one is on the staff.
Pitt. So we can jam it up Mark May's caboose every year.
Ugh…hope to never again hear the phrase “makes routine plays routinely.” That was Kyle McCord’s great attribute and the basis upon which he won the job. Buckeye QBs have to have more going for them than that.
I wish the absolute best for this young man. Hope he wins the Heisman on a one loss Buffalo squad!
Good luck to this young man. Buckeyes are losing a good one. The decision to hold Dallan out late in the year when his redshirt was guaranteed was unfathomable to me. Alford appears to be taking the board heat for this, but the buck stops with Day. I'll never think he didn't blow it with Dallan.
It’s obviously fair to disagree with Jones’ take on MHJr’s decision to sit things out. But it’s also fair for him to have a take. I was stunned when I learned of Marvin’s decision to watch the Buckeye friendly pro day from the sidelines.
Username checks out.
Don't disagree at all but the OP wrote that he's a candidate to start this year. We all saw the Cotton Bowl, right? The young man is not close to being a starter this year. I would like the down voters to argue otherwise. If Keinholz is the Buckeye ace this year, something has gone horribly wrong.
Lincoln Keinholz is a starting QB option? Can we be serious for a moment? He appears to be a fine young man but to pretend he has a shot to be the starter is laughable. To play that game is to cheapen one’s credibility.
That would be amazing. Looking forward to seeing play.
