I see a lot of Oregon twitter posts chirping about how the buckeyes have never played in an atmosphere like their stadium.
it will be rocking for sure. But news flash to them: this ain’t our first rodeo.
I think there is a good chance we see stuff on offense and defense we have not shown yet.
Not worried about travel.
this a business trip.
Best adjustment I’ve seen so far: Coach Day being the CEO of his program. Having his finger on the pulse of his team is clearly helping.

Go bucks. Happy Friday Eve.
I think that blitz pick up by Trey might have been my favorite play of the game. It had a championship attitude to it.
Thank you Dude.
My wife thinks he broke a rib. He definitely showed toughness and leadership.
Agree about the Defense. They looked sharp over all.
See my post below regarding the O line. As far as the returning SR, that to me speaks to having unfinished business and their desire to achieve their goals while at OSU.
NIL has made it easier for players to have a different perspective on their NFL option in some degree.
I am inspired by the returning players, and I hope their teammates are as well.
Game one thoughts;
O line, O line, O line.
(Pass pro is fine, run blocking…..utterly inconsistent)
Need to be nastier, meaner, tougher, snappier, more violent with hands (also get them lower) and good grief if you are pulling or pinning KNOW YOUR FREAKING ASSIGNMENT AND GET THERE WITH A PURPOSE!!
Too many times the pullers were a full step slow and with no intention to put someone on their ass.
We’ve said it over and over; but Frye needs to get his life right and get the big Nasties to do what I certainly believe they are capable of.
Last thing, dear anyone going to the game; FOR THE LOVE ACT LIKE YOU WANT TO BE THERE!!!!!! I’m so tired of the Shoe being lifeless. (Student section, it’s your job to get that going, stop leaving mid 3rd quarter cause one day, your chance to be at a game, in that section will be gone forever, and the grey hairs in A deck need to be reminded that football is loud and rowdy, NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE PLAYING OR WHAT THR CURRENT SCORE IS!!!!! Good grief
Man, it’s nice to have football season back. Have a great Tuesday Buckeye Nation.
No kidding.
That Akron kid showed a TON of toughness. He’s probably gonna see Sawyer in his nightmares.
That said, 2nd half defense smelled blood in the water. Wish the O line would do the same cause boy when that O line does THEN we will see a champion level football team.
I will cry happy tears when the Shoe goes back to grass.
please for the love do it OSU.
Well said. OSU is my ride or die. Yet last night was an embarrassment. If THIS doesn’t wake up and therefore shake up the staff I’m not sure what will. Day is younger than me and the biggest thing I see holding HIS improvement back is the following; he behaves and talks like an OC/interim head coach. He needs to grow and become the CEO. That means you make hard decisions about your staff. It ALSO means you trust your staff. Day doesn’t trust his coaches to do their job. This can be for one of two reasons; they aren’t good at their job OR they aren’t good at their jobs. Day is not being good at his job by avoiding hard staffing decisions. The moment Day allows his OC to call plays will be the telling moment that he is growing. Sorry coach. This isn’t on the players or your staff. This is on you to adjust and improve. If your players aren’t doing their jobs it’s your staffs fault. And if you aren’t holding that staff to the standards this proud program is accustomed to then it’s on YOU. That’s what happens at big boy programs. Day must become the CEO and stop being the “everything coach because I can’t trust my staff to do it”. Sorry Day, all of it. All of that is on you to change. Not the players. Not the staff. You are the CEO. Act like it.
There it is!!!!!
Hey, I didn’t have my phone with me yesterday. What’d I miss?
Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. Best of luck #6.
Now is time for someone to step up LEAD
Let me just say this; I will always support this team but I have expectations and I will never take a personal shot at a 18-22 year olds.
The most valuable thing about a bowl game (not CFP related); the extra weeks of practice!! It’s time for Day to stop being the OC/interim head coach and start being the CEO of the team. CEOs make tough decisions both on and off the field. CEOs delegate their previous responsibilities. CEOs manage their VPs and have their eye on the end results. Coach is missing the game because he’s calling plays. In fact I dare say no one is managing the game right now. He’s missing being the CEO. If he can let go of his play calling that will be step one of many. He needs to lead the staff and players not call the plays. Happy Monday Buckeye Nation.
RE: Josh Perry
No lies detected.
Will always love my team and the players but I will never make an excuse for having expectations. Have a good one Buckeye Nation.
I’m with Josh Perry on allllllll of this!! IYKYK. I will forever love my team and care for every player on the team. However, I will NEVER apologize for being a fan with expectations. Do we have a real QB1 on the roster? No idea. Do we have the dogs in the trenches on both sides who are willing to be the heart of the team? Don’t know. Does this team understand The Game; not likely. Is there an opportunity to make hard adjustments and change all this? 100%. And until then I won’t stop having expectations.
The time for talk is over.
Play fast, play loose. Have fun and kick their ass
This is the way
Cheers to one more sleep. I hope everyone in Buckeye nation had a blessed thanksgiving.
now, there is hate to be felt.
O-H!!!
I do. I prefer my Buckeyes to be doubted.
