Surprised you didn't go over a play they simulated pressure with 2 LBs and dropped EVERY single DL into coverage with man on the outside. It had to be the dumbest play design (unless it was a miscommunication) ever. Gave up a tuddy because of it. 

Overall, I think it's rather clear that there is a big issue somewhere in the coaching ranks with scheming and doing what one person wants to do. These issues in big/tight games have plagued us for years. To not think there's a huge disconnect somewhere with veteran players seems disingenuous. Day and knowles really need to sit down and figure a plan forward. I understand there are plays where the scheme you can tip your cap. But there were also quite a few "wtf are you thinking" moments for OSU compared to Oregon that, in a game this close, you simply cannot have. 

I look at his record and see

1 50 burger

3 40 burgers

and no less than 20 points given up (not counting ND, as they were not very good that year).

For "his" side of the ball, I see his offense has scored at least 3 TDs in all of them. I am not sure why people are so gung-ho on firing day when he's, at the very least, pretty good at what he does.

The defense has really shit the bed in these big games, even though that does still fall on him but it's not like he's a bad coach. I am ready to really focus on getting younger and fresh ideas on defense, as well as revisiting our recruiting profiles they look for in high school kids in the trenches.

That and the NIL money. I would bet we would match what they'd give seeing the tenacity this off-season. Then you'd have to ask if you'd rather have Proctor instead if the money is drying up...

His has 4 years at 3.5 mil per.

So do the players have to state they're in the portal before universities start reaching out? Or does the "new window" give universities the ability to reach out without "tampering"?

Bailey: 0 coaching experience for TEs

Hartline: 0 experience calling plays.

Coombs: 0 experience calling a defense.

This is an a$$ load of inexperience. Some of his hires/promotions have been absolutely mind boggling. 

Think you guys are disappointed? Boy, Holtmann looks absolutely devastated. He wanted to be anywhere else but that interview. There was 2-3 minutes he just closed his eyes and just rattled of coach speak answers

Winning over TTUN is the primary goal; willing a natty is the ultimate goal. When you walk into the horseshoe, you see all the years we won it all, because as they say, flags fly forever. Being it’s so rare to win one, and we have a yearly opportunity to beat those clowns, I’ll take winning it all. 

Maryland played a really good game, you can tell they wanted to take it to OSU. I doubt OSU is used to these expectations and just need to mature some. Clearly Kyle is the glue guy on this team. They feed off his energy. On to next one.

Add fields clearly not 100%. Dobbins hurt slowed some momentum. That’s really tough against a team like Clemson. The good is Wilson is legit, our line - on both sides - will be fire next year. The skilled positions look to be stronger than I can remember. This team will be here many more times, and I can all but guarantee they get a few more natties. 

Pretty sure he'll have to apply for a waiver to play next years, but not sure of the rules with a player that's 3 academic years in. He has to be close to graduating. I wouldn't imagine he would do this to sit out next year, though.

In other Buckeye news, Sam Hubbard is doing really well for the Bengals in OTAs. He's looking like a starter opposite of Dunlap.

Yep. And once Fellows settled in, he was really good. Really tough to win with walks and the other pitching heating up. Still a good game. Vandy just has better players top to bottom. But we got like 3 freshman pitchers valuable experience. We held our own vs them.

Seeing Thomas beat them on the same route over and over shows just how good he is. Even if you have a good idea of what he's running, you just #cantguardmike. I don't think I've ever seen a WR do so much consistent damage on an in-route so many times.

He also recruited Harrison while at TTUN. Now he gets to play for both coaches he liked! Wonder if Day filled him on this?

He said a big reason why was coach Davis. Bet that means they'd have to keep him for Cade to stay.

This is so sad. I'm going to miss coach Meyer so much. Hopefully he hangs around the complex next year to have a hand in consulting them some. 

Wonder why they didn't do a full search for his replacement? Realize there's not another Urban Meyer to come in and help us win, but wonder why they decided to give it to Day without a hiring process?
