I think was Wisky (Bert as coach) was offsides maybe 3 straight times on the kickoff to run the clock out. Guessing the rule changed the next year.

Was it Croatia or Serbia that got Jim O'Brien in trouble?
A travshamockery hire. Interesting that he is in Detroit. It's just a cover hire so he can continue to provide scUM the same info he was before. Only now there a level of plausible deniability for Moore and his staff.
Sorry it's Jordan. I always want to call him Jarrod
His going to Michigan kept 2023 Mr Football Jarrod Marshall there. He did not waver so much when Harbaugh left but when Bike Hart left he was reconsidering his commitment. Marshall would have probably switched to Tennecleats. He was extremely impressed with "talent" down there.
Don't care what uniforms, but LOVE the chrome helmets. But I liked the all grays the most.
Sorry didn't have time to read all the comments.
Watched Mark Rodgers Voice of College Football last night. He had a guy that goes by Genetics56 on twitter. Always seemed to have some access to non public Big Ten info. He had alot to say.
Oregon Washington are a formality. They have the votes except for Wisconson, strange. The current situation enables this to happen. Valuation from new tv deal will give them 38-41 million. A full share is possible with a new TV partner.
For Cal/Stanford to happen now will definitely require a new TV partner. Fox/CBS/NBC want this to control West Coast tv markets.
Mentioned Apple and Amazon. Big Ten want nothing to do with Apple and their subscription based payout. So Amazon seems to be in play again.
ND - will never join a conference. But they need a scheduling agreement with the B1G to get the money they want from NBC.
FSU/Clemson. They are in play. Not before the 15th deadline, but probably in the next year. Not sure how they going to do it but they seem to have a plan. Called them the top Tier 1 schools available right now. That has to do with getting 4 million + viewers for OTA broadcasts. A must for the B1G get them. Said Miami then UNC are next. Said AAU status will not be a factor. FSU is close probably within the next 5 years. Starting a medical clinical research program will go a long way to AAU status. Clemson has a strategic plan to AAU status. Told FSU fans to be patient it will happen eventually
Talked a bit about anti-trust. Doesn't think that is an issue as long as all the remaining conferences have access to the CFP. May not have the teams to get in but they have access.
With Arizona and Arizona St getting approval to apply to Big12 today (reportedly) Oregon Washington could happen in the next week or so.
Good thing that YSU game is not in November. Wouldn't want to freeze to death over YSU.
Can't remember the specific player or coach that said it but it was something like this "He may not know where he's supposed to go, but his instincts of run to the ball kick in." I think it may have been about Raekwon McMillen (sp?).
That's what I think when I see "not thinking post snap".
jumps to as much as 10 billion. already defined in contracts
75 tv payout + bowl games + cfp + ncaa bball tourney = 100 mil
Need to keep in mind that 100 million is tv money + bowl games split + cfp $$ + ncca bb tourney money. Also, I read the payout will increase slightly next year for the 14, bigger jump in 24 with the addition USC/UCLA and CBS getting a full slate, and goes full gonzo in 25.
There are provision for further expansion. Could push the entire deal to $10B+
Isn't part of the network issue they are still required to transmit a certain format ota. FCC has been sluggish pushing ATSC 3.0 (??) out ota.
OTA is still based on what 50's or 60's technology.
No YTTV here. DTV. Football and Hockey are only slightly better. Baseball and basketball are significantly better in 4k. Probably because more close up camera shots/angles. Golf is sort of hit or miss around the greens yeah pretty impressive.
ESPN did one per week
Hope this wasn't posted. Just skimmed all the posts.
There is another scheduling quirk. If ND wants to play a night home game, it will have to be televised on Peacock or USA Network. NBC will be exclusive to the B1G. Will be taking a backseat to the B1G.
Not a legal expert, so no clue if NDs deal supersedes the new B1G deal.
Kind of like what is CBS going to do as they will still have a year left with the SEC?
Wonder if Amazon is proposing alternate feeds like they do for the NFL?
Amazon is likely going to get Friday. This game can be promoted heavily during the exclusive Thursday NFL game. Win win for the Conference.
In OOC part of the schedule plenty of games to go around. Probably 12-16 or 18 games a weekend
Another thing to keep an eye on, CBS would like to get back onto Thursday night with football. Not getting the NFL back anytime soon. Rumored to be interested in new B12 media deal too.
More than 10 during out of conference part of schedules. 16-20 depending home/away/neutral site.
Flugar seems to have a pretty good source. He was the first place I saw USC to the B1G in March.
Ironically, the first place I saw USC and UCLA was on a B12 account of a guy based in WV in April. MVhers I think without looking
Potential of 16+ games on an out of conference weekend with no league games. Welcome to Thursday and Friday games.
CBS has hinted at wanting back on Thurs football since they lost NFL. Amazon would probably get Friday games. It would be a good partner with Amazon pushing the B1G game of the week during the Thursday NFL game.
That window may have something to do with ND's exit from ACC.
On that note, have seen that they could just join in football for now. A significant drop in exit fees and bring the rest of the sports in later (next tv contract?).
The not wanting to go first with PAC12 has something to do with potential anti-trust????
ND joining jumps the media payout significantly. Media partners (i.e FOX) value Stanford, OR, and Wash with ND and everyone gets full shares. If ND balks, there is still interest with Cal as the fourth but at reduced shares. It would probably be up to twice as much as any new PAC12 deal.
New TV deal is likely going to be another short one till 2030 at most. Read that adding more West Coast is viewed paying bigger dividends in 2030 compared to now. Not sure how but ok.
Seems as though B1G and B12 are playing chicken on who is going to pull the trigger first. Neither wants to be seen a breaking up the PAC12.
Apparently there is some sort of negotiating window between 8/15 and 10/15.
This was my freshman year. Remember sitting behind the Pitt bench yelling at the players the whole game. Back then there was temp seating on the old track.
The best was the Iowa game. An absolute monsoon. That was and still is the loudest game I have attended in Ohio Stadium. It was shaking on it's foundation that day. Long kept trying to get the ref to stop the game and quiet the crowd (actually allowed back then). The ref just held his hands up and shrugged his shoulders "Play On". Also, I recall Terry "Strawberry" White just plain laying out some WR for Iowa that day. Would definitely be ejected with today's rules. Followed Pepper and Spielman onto the field post game.
Having Evan Turner win multiple National Player of the Year awards is a pretty noteworthy accomplishment too.
