Did you forget that we have to replace our All-American level left tackle?
All American?
Burke bites on the route
I keep seeing this, but it looks like the receiver just runs right by him, not some double move like one of the previous times Burke got beat deep.
Man Fulton is pretty brutal to listen to. He has a terrible time getting to the point. That video could have been about 10 minutes shorter.
This season comes down to the coaches being able to coach-up the O-line with Simmons out along with Chip being able to call plays to hide the weaknesses of the O-line. I believe the defense will be fine.
That's an interesting take after last Saturday. The offense wasn't the problem in that game, even after the OL injuries.
Am I seeing things or is the clock already down to 5 seconds before the ball is snapped on the picture in the lower right?
Do you believe that PSU or ND the last two year had the talent level of OSU, Oregon, Bama etc? I do think PSU has had dangerous teams the last couple of years but not the offensive prowess of the big dogs.
Probably not, but they were at least as good as UM on offense.
While these stats aren't good, they are also a bit cherry picked. We have been in 4Q games against PSU and ND the past couple of years where the defense made some big stops.
I do think a 10-2 OSU with a couple of top 25 wins is always going to be in the playoffs.
What wins would those be? Do we think IU and UM are going to stay in the top 25? Or maybe Nebraska and Iowa climb back in?
Has Penn State ever been ranked above Ohio State in a single poll?
They are currently.
If they had run one or two into the middle of the field Fielding would have had a 35 yd or shorter attempt.
That's a huge assumption. We ran one against UGa and lost yards. I wouldn't assume we would gain 10 yards running the ball.
@Penn State, and it isn't even really close.
My guess is because it's kind of hard to pull off.
and right now, without Simmons, we can't.
We gave up one whole sack. Pass protection didn't look like a huge issue to me. Howard generally had time to throw.
After Watching the Oregon Loss I Feel Really Good About This Team.
I feel good about the offense. Not so much about the defense. It looks like the same D that largely couldn't get it done in the biggest moments the past few years.
If we take one of our timeouts before the two minute timeout instead of after on Oregon's last drive there would have been 5-10 more seconds left when we started our last drive.
Flip it then. Buckeyes are 3 playing number 2 and win at home. Would you be embarrassed if we rushed the field? I know I would.
Was this embarrassing?

And the onside reeks of desperation. I would expect that of a Rutgers or Indiana. Not a top three team that's been there a long while.
I'm sorry, what? Trying to win a football game reeks of desperation?
Is the college rule still that a corner can only chuck a receiver within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage?
No. That’s only the pros.
Did you not see the tweet above that we ran it 12 times for 19 yards in the second half. You want us to keep doing this while Smith and Ebuka were practically unguardable?
Howard’s drop of a perfect snap on third and short was a killer too.
Birm said tonight that the defensive staff has no cohesion and it’s basically each position coach freelancing.
If only we could pay someone to coordinate the defense. Do you think $2million would be enough?
Because our margin for error is zero now and we still have another away game against another top ten team and an home game against a team we haven’t beaten since 2019. Plus, it’s the same issues we have seen before in big games under day. Lousy defense and constant mistakes.
I was pissed at the FO for not doing more for the team at the deadline and what not.
What they did do worked out pretty damn well though.
Burke was awful that first half.
I don’t think sending him to embarrass himself every Saturday is what he’s earned. Sometimes the compassionate thing is to take away the keys
I don’t think telling him what he wants is the compassionate thing. This isn’t taking the car keys away. He isn’t hurting anyone.
Ohio St usually flies out of LCK which has a 12k ft runway. They took a 757-300 to Eugene
The took a 757-300, but it was out of CMH.
