Good point. In modern day CFB you have to score. You probably need to score 35 to win. You aren't holding teams Top 5 teams to 17-21 too often.

I have a good friend who was there last night who claimed it was the loudest environment he had ever been to, and he has seen the Buckeyes play some big games in big venues.

Yeah. I feel like 2002 and 2006 Michigan games were ear splitting. Especially 2006. Honestly 2002 had a weird nervous energy which I get.

I am not an X's and O's expert, but I do know over the years it seems people complain about defenses being too predictable ( Cover 1 under Schiano)... and too complicated to understand. Sometimes people want exotic blitzes and shell coverages...THEN the next year people want press man and simple. Honestly it probably just comes down to talent and maybe specifically D Line pressure. All defenses look good when the defensive line is winning the battles. Again, I am no expert.

This is my question. If OSU has the best WR core in the nation, shouldn't he be having trouble against Smiith and Egbuka and Tate also.

Iron supposedly sharpens iron.

I am a baseball player. I mean sign stealing goes down at the varsity and JV level and travel ball. I see the point of the OP but I live in the real world. People cheat. I don't know what else to say but there obviously is a reason 3rd base coaches and catchers give detailed signs.

Aikman's situation was totally different than this. Not the best comparison. He started as a true freshman and lost his job due to injury and transferred at the end of the year.

You sure as hello aren't ambivalent about this. Ignorant too lol. You are the one bringing up generations and making it about boomers. Just admit you are wrong. It's obvious.

See, I had season tickets 95-97 and was in Cleveland and was a teenager/early 20s. By 2007 I was in my 30s, lived in Columbus and personally had a mother with cancer. Also I kinda saw it coming even though they were up 3-1. It didn't hit as hard.

If Kirby had no national titles and was 1-3 vs Bama with no SECCG in years, it would be talked about a lot.

Kyler Murray is a more explosive athlete overall than Bryce Young. And more powerfully built. But this was mentioned pre combine. Young maybe be 5'10 but he isn't the pure athlete Russell Wilson was or Kyler Murray is. Doesn't have the arm strength. Also the fact that both Wilson and Murray were legit baseball prospects probably didn't hurt, in theory sliding should naturally if they aren't stubborn and if they played any infield it helps throwing from different arm angles. Helps Pat Mahomes too IMO.

I think I might be going. I have tickets to Iowa also, but have never been to East Lansing, and the tickets are about half as expensive as Ohio Stadium for a similar level opponent.

I think there are a couple of times a year the networks can won't until 5 days before kickoff to decide a time.

Only thing I can tell you is they should announce it next Monday. There are no matchups between ranked teams that I see rhay would be an obvious prime time candidate. There is a 330 game already set between Louisville and ND on Peacock..Bama at Georgia which is obviously ESPN/ABC So there is a chance its a night game. EDIT...sorry I totally missed Arizona at Utah and Oklahoma State at Kansas State. All 4 teams are ranked currently.

I am with you 100% Gus Johnson!!!!!!!! works for me on the opening weekend of an NCAA basketball tournament. It doesn't work for me on a 16 yard completion vs Rutgers in the 1Q.

Buy a pass for the El. It's just a large city. Use common sense like you would any other large city like NYC or LA. Same basic rules as Columbus, Cleveland or Cincinnati.

My favorite baseball motto as a baseball  is that the season is a marathon, not a sprint.

I had to repeat this to myself most of this weekend. I was in Minneapolis this weekend, and there was a part of the trip where I was just hoping the Guardians would be in 1st when I got home.

But hey the Guardians won the game I attended (Sunday) and now are on a 4 game winning streak and counting.

Such is baseball. They play 162. 7 games in baseball is less of a percentage of the season than an NFL football game
