That is baked into Vegas’ analytics and they still think Ohio State has the 2nd best chances of winning a national championship.

Keep in mind, every time Ohio state plays from here on out will also be dealing with injuries. Ohio State is still remarkably healthy, all things considered.

A lot can be gained from Vegas odds. Like the fact that even after the Oregon loss, and even after the loss of Josh Simmons, at least in Vegas’ eyes, only Texas is better.

My point is, Vegas analytics have no dog in the fight and no emotional attachment to any team, so that should help calm any fears that Ohio State all of a sudden is a different team than they were 10/12 at 7:29pm.

I'm not saying Ohio State & LJ should or should not part ways, but it has always felt to me like his defensive philosophy has not & does not mesh with Jim Knowle's philosophy. If Ohio State does decide to part ways with LJ, they should let JK has a huge say in who they bring in.

Missouri had all three. Penn State & Michigan last year had the physicality.

Knowles will be fine. Don’t be an idiot just because Ohio State lost a game, it happens.

Ohio State has the 2nd best odds to win the national championship, just slightly behind Texas. Only a special person thinks it would take a magical run to win a national championship.

They completely shut down the best offense in the SEC last year…

And was better against the national champions than any other team, including Alabama & Washington.

It was just a bad game. Time to move on.

Denzel goes against the best wide receivers every day in practice and never has an issue.

Dai - I agree 100%, but I do think the committee will change the way they think about their rankings now that they know 5-12 actually matter.

From 2014-2023 there were a lot of 5-12 that I don’t think the committee would have ranked that way if something actually mattered with those rankings.

In my personal opinion, the selection committee should take OOC schedules into consideration, but they don’t. They only look at SOS as a whole, and Ohio State is doing quite fine there.

10-2 Ohio State is a lock for the playoffs.

Idiotic post.

Day hired UCLA’s head coach to be a coordinator, he kicked Kyle McCord to the curb, and brought in a QB that he essentially made QB1 from the jump, not caring about other QBs who have been in the program longer. He didn’t care at all about Air Noland’s feelings and brought in Julian Sayin.

He took Caleb Downs straight from Georgia’s grasp,

Ive always said it, there is no lower IQ sports fan than an Ohio State fan coming off a loss.

Captain - I agree. I feel like the AP & first CFP rankings are always different, and then the AP slowly conforms to the CFP rankings as the season goes along.

Penn State’s two remaining games before the big one:

10/12 @ USC
10/26 @ Wisconsin

There’s an outside chance that is #1 at #2. It is almost assuredly going to be a top 3 matchup, whether Ohio State is #1 or #2 (depending on UGA @ Texas) next weekend.

This is predicated on Ohio State winning @ Oregon and vs. Nebraska and PSU winning their two games as well, obviously.
