This defense will never win a big game.  It's not designed to.  It's a gimmick defense designed to help the little guys compete with the big boys (okie state vs OU).  The reason Oregon got 5 yds a carry and Styles and Simon had more tackles because the RBs for Oregon were already through the line and Styles and Simon were the last hope to prevent an explosive.  Of course they got more tackles.  

This defense likes to put 5 and 6 in the box.  That will never win in a matchup game.  I'll run up the middle for 5 all damn day if you're going to leave the box empty.  

Horrible defense for what we play against.  Just look at ALL the big games since Knowles had arrived in Columbus.  Every loss we have is in a matchup game AND they RAN all over us.  

If the scheme ain't workin', it's time to change it.

He lost every big game by getting RUN OVER.  Oh.  Guess what category he SUCKS at?  RUSHING.  

Once I find the weakness in your gimmick you can move and adjust and line up crazy.  I don't care, I know you can't stop the run because your too spread out.  If i can get a lead block and hit the second level clean with my RB running full tilt.  You're done.  I'll eat up yardage ALL DAY.  

He has a FLAW.  Major FLAW.  4-2-5 - Weak against the inside run

Add his gimmicks (All the movement and hybrid positions) designed to keep an offense off balance and you end up with Cover 0 calls.

What a let down.  Here's a guy that went through it in the 90's.  Then we had Harry Miller.  A ton of momentum in the mental health arena.  And I paid pretty close attention to it.  I don't remember Herby jumping up and having the courage to add his story to the arena and keep the momentum going.  Harry has kept the momentum going and there are a lot of people on board, Day included.  So.......where were you Herby.  Courage?

And please correct me and shame me if I missed Herby relating his story when any of the other mental health crisis occurred.  

Buckeye living in Oklahoma.  it's a gimmick defense he created to beat better teams by keeping them off schedule.  By being aggressive, he turned the tables on them.  He was also coaching at places where players stay in the system longer (I'm sorry if this offends but it is true).  Now, he doesn't get players for 3 years.  

The running game is where he sucks.  Teams run (and short/behind the line passes) all over this team late in games.  You can line up as many ways as you want, as on offense, once I understand your gimmick, I'm going to run over and through you.  

I am becoming cautiously optimistic with where he seems to be taking the defense.  But, the issue isn't players or knowledge, it is scheme and play calling.  I hope and pray that we pull it off this year, I would love to see another Natty!  But, we haven't won a big game in 3 years.  To win the Natty we need to win at least 3!

I think we get to see everything come together this weekend.  Knowles D against this O, Starters pitch a shutout.  Surprisingly, I think the backups pitch a shut-out, too.  On O, I believe for the first time in a long time, we have all the starters on the field to start the game.  I think we actually finally start fast.  Due in at least some part to the other teams defense.

#1: He ain't Jesus Christ so don't expect him (or any other 18-22 yr old) to be perfect.  Unreasonable Expectation

#2: Yes, he's had some ugly, that comes with inexperience.  But, EVERY TIME, he moves on battles through and get the win! UNDEFEATED

#3: Defenses have been using shells to prevent big plays and making us check down.  You can be upset about him not going deep but you'd just bitch about incompletions and interceptions because he would be throwing into coverage, mostly double.  

I can go on but the bottom line is, Kyle McCord is a Great Quarterback!  

And for those bitching the loudest, I'd like to see you get out of your mother's basement and take a few snaps of B1G football.  Let's see if you make every read correctly, pre snap and post, and let's see you put every throw on a dime.  Hell, let's see if you can catch a fucking snap.

The CFP doesn't really have to care until the last rankings.  They can keep TCUN/AAA in the running until the end.  It's the last ranking that matters.  They are hoping that, WITHOUT THE CHEATING, we will take TCUN/AAA out behind the woodshed and give the beating Day wanted to when he said he wanted to hang a hundred on them. If that happens, and enough other teams hold their own, They get pushed out of the top 4.  It takes care of itself if we take care of business!

I think Kyle McCord is Great! - Give the guy a chance to actually lead the team and learn the ins and outs of the game.  He had one freakin start last year.  This is all NEW to him.  He's done freakin awesome considering that.  2 Away Night Game Wins! and 2 Top 15 Wins! 8-0 with pretty good stats. Only the Cheater is ahead of him in QBR in the B1G! Let him manage! He can rock it next year!

TCUN/AAA - I hate cheaters!

And wasn't it Harbaugh who accused Day of cheating on a B1G call or something.  But we were allowed to practice because we had an early game or something.  I remember Day saying he wanted to lay 100 on them.  2020, maybe?  

In any event, usually the one accusing (Harbaugh), is the one doing.  Cheating piece of crap.

With all of the evidence that is piling up and the absolute flagrant defiance of the rules, I believe the B1G has to act.  I think they should be made ineligible for the B1G Championship Game.  The OC and DC should also be suspended immediately, and in my opinion, since it shows an absolute failure of institutional control, and Harbaugh is already under the microscope for lying before in the recruiting scandal.  He should be suspended as well.  This should decimate their program.  They should lose support staff, scholarships, post season play, wins since it started.  Pick the numbers, but the B1G should act now.  Who knows what the NCAA will do and when.

No. But you were the one that took it to the next level.  So don't try to pass yourself off as innocent.  I recognize that you didn't bring the topic but you sure jumped right in and took the opportunity to vomit on us.  And your excuses, only work on the feeble minded. 

I'm glad you are so optimistic about the future.  Until I see who the next hire is, I will remain cautious and concerned.  Not totally on board with the new President but a strong AD pick will go along way to easing my concerns there as well.  

I'm 100% concerned about our next AD.  Wrong pick and this wave dries up and we're left with a mediocre program with no vision and no capabilities to improve/change.  

Praying/Begging for a solid AD pick.  

I think USC makes the most sense as a third.  Just the gut response that would appear to support the new model and the conference the best.  As well as provide the Buckeyes another (I know it sucks) Bye insuring opportunity.  With the twelve team format, placement is going to become important.
