I guess you missed the first drive of the first quarter when Kacmarek didn't catch a ball he was credited with. Terrible officiating goes both ways most of the time.

I agree (and, more importantly, hope) that this loss is soul-cleansing. There are a bunch of things that need cleaned up right now, and this might be that catalyst for that.

"accept the know vs risking the unknown" I was under the impression that the NCAA laid out a minimum framework to tcun of what they would accept. Or was that framework kept a secret from the tcun shit bags?

Fact check...it's the week before The Game including Veteran's Day and Columbus Day (if that still is a national holiday. Google says it is). But I'm just going to assume they wanted it to be the week of The Game and just can't count.

Yeah, this comment was amusing. Tez runs and moves very well, but he's not a WR. I know Sonny struggled in coverage at times against WRs in the past, but I clothing he can hold his own. Ultimately, though, I think we'll be playing with 5 DBs on the field more often than not, and Sonny will have help over the top from Hancock.

Just had to drop that in LOL. I understand the slowing down of the threads. There's not much new to read or speculate about, but man I wish that wasn't the case. 11/25/24, here we come!!

As of right now, 47 days and counting.

I'm back on the train myself. Pre-COVID, I had lost 37 lbs in 6 months, while adding approximately 15 lbs of muscle. Since then, I've gone back to exactly who I was before that d/t various things like injury, time, and convenience to the gym since we moved way out of the city. I never fasted, and I won't because I like food (not junk, I just eat a lot). When I had the prior success, I just limited my calories, which is a pain for multiple reasons. For 2 of the 6 months, I also ate zero processed foods. It's amazing how the inflammation disappears from your body when you don't eat things that contain ingredients that you can't pronounce. For reference, I am now 52, so I was previously 48 when I achieved the previous transformation.

I wasn't very specific, but the "lots more" part included forfeits.

On the contrary, if they are in fact attempting to negotiate, they are admitting wrongdoing. I would love to see them get crushed with bowl bans, scholarship reductions, show causes for everyone, administration firings, and lots more. But if part of a negotiated settlement is Ohno, Manuel, or Moore having to publicly read all of the details of the cheating, I could be persuaded to accept lesser tangible punishments.

Because he's not as good as the starters and backups? I don't mean to sound like a smart ass but there's no way he can stand up to the blockers at 233 pounds, and he's not going to be better than the top 4 DEs that we already have.

I'm going to sue Ohio State because they wouldn't let me play football, regardless of the fact that at the time I was 5'8" and 170 pounds. I was also really slow and had no discernable skills, but sue I shall, because Jackie Chiles says I have a case.

Just as important, who is allowed to set the line? Is it actually possible for the courts to say "Okay, 2016. That's the line." Is any entity really able to do that?
Comment 22 Sep 2024

I was a "I want them to be good" guy until they hired hairball. Since then, I've been in the

camp. I'm a happier person this way.

I took a little stroll last night through threads I and II. Kind of amazing stuff! Thank you so much for doing that.

I wish he would grow a pair and stand on his own two feet, but that's also a big ask for a guy making a ton of money doing what he loves. People act like toeing the company line and having a good understanding of football are mutually exclusive, and they're not. Klatt saying some of the stupid things he's said aren't hurting anything and have no effect on what the NCAA will ultimately do, but standing up and saying something different would cost him millions, a decision that is very easy for anyone not currently in his position. Now DV away LOL

Why did I think he had been there longer than 2022? I certainly didn't realize he inherited this mess. I'm also sure the cheating wasn't in the brochure. This won't be popular, but it raises the possibility that he didn't know about any of this until the cyber security firm and/or the legal firms reported back to the University. He still has the responsibility of forcing them to self-report, which he clearly didn't do. He also didn't need to double down on his defiance If you accept all of that, it lends more weight to the suspicion that members of the BoR were very involved in the scheme. The plot thickens.

So concerning the new law, makes you wonder if it was in response to Corum/Stallions a la helmet comms hitting the scene so quickly. I doubt it because government doesn't move that quickly and they aren't that important, but I can't be sure of it either.
