When OSU was in man coverage, I would have liked to see more blitzing and stunting to disrupt Oregon's blocking assignments and hopefully get some pressure on Dillon or TFLs. The few times he felt pressure, his accuracy was not the best. It seemed like most of Knowles blitz calls were zone blitzes that were not effective against Oregon's Oline. They did a good job of picking up those rushers. I think it would have been better to try and overwhelm them with rushers and speed.

Grew up near the S&G course over on McCoy Rd. My grandfather was head of Neurology and a surgeon at Riverside Hospital. He knew Woody and would assist the team med wise. Ended up out West in my teens and fell in love with the mountains. Graduated from Park City HS and the University of Utah. Happily married to a Duck fan and living in Denver with our two sons (who are not Duck fans). GO BUCKS!

When I think back to the loss to UGA in the Peach Bowl, the exact opposite happened. After CJ's long run to get into FG range, Day called a run play at the UGA's 31 yd line and it ended up getting stuffed and they had to use 1 of their remaining 2 timeouts. I'll be honest, I remember yelling at the TV at that moment to run the ball.

My bad... I thought the ref had the ability to whistle the play dead on an illegal substitution penalty.
If a team did that (Playing 40 defenders), the Refs would whistle the play dead so no time would go off the clock. Lanning counted on the dumbass B1G refs not noticing a 12th defender until after the ball was snapped.

This whole TCUN shitshow reminds me of Coen Brothers film.
There is so much hubris up there that they probably forgot to disable the recording for the Zoom meeting.
Great mini-series BTW. I highly recommend it.
I have a better idea...they have to tell the other team their play call (offense and defense) for the next 3 seasons. Should be easy with the new helmet communications.
Seriously though, one thing that no one is really talking about is that their cheating impacted player safety. Think about the punishment above.....if that was the case, wouldn't a higher proportion TCUN players get injured? How many highlights have we seen of their safeties crashing the LOS when they knew a run play was being called or a screen play getting blown up. It's a miracle that more opposing players were not injured during the past 3 seasons. And if I'm a player that was injured playing those fucks, I'd be suing the shit of the them.
Nice thing about running successful RPO passes is that it will open up the run game.
MHJ was also defenseless whereas the CMU ball carrier lowered his head to take on tacklers. I f*cking hate the targeting rule.
Exactly.....if a ball carrier lowers his head first, then you cannot call targeting on the defender. Very simple change to the rule. I know they can call targeting on a ball carrier, but they never do.
BTW - Scandal thread XX is the night where SilverState figured out CS was on the CMU sideline for the Sparty game. Classic thread. I remember reading it that night back in Oct. It was fun to revisit.

Always love a Shawshank Redemption reference.
If they lose a couple games early in their schedule (Texas, USC, and/or Wash), TCUN would be more incented to reach an agreement and start self-imposing penalties.
Thank you for the feedback, PD.
