I think the biggest issue is expectations, which are always outsized where OSU is involved but even more this season given how many defensive players eschewed the NFL draft and how highly rated they were (especially the defensive ends) coming out of HS. Jack and JTT should both be game wreckers. Neither have quite reached that territory in their careers save for JTT during THAT PSU game. Jack has been very good on balance late last season and in this one pre-Oregon. They should absolutely dominate subpar O-lines and get their fair share of highlights against elite ones. Word is they have the juice, the only question is will the defensive coaches figure out how best to employ them to create consistent pressure or will they continue to be a non-factor in talent equated games. All I know is I would pay good money to bring back Nick Bosa for his lost year of eligibility...

On a level playing field, CJ should have two pairs of gold pants, a second title shot, and at least one if not two Heisman trophies. I will never forgive TTUN for that and their punishment will never be severe enough as most of the offenders have moved on.
I hope there's a world in the multiverse where a 5th year CJ Stroud is throwing to Marvin Harrison Jr AND Jeremiah Smith on his way to 550+ passing yards and his 5th pair of gold pants...
I know coaches move around but four jobs in as many years might be a red flag...
Don't fix it... this shit is gold lol.
Maybe he's positioning himself to get that HC money after the NCAA hits Sherrone Moore with a show cause... 4D chess or something... still not cool man.
Touché
1A. May (Rising star, great potential, I think transition to a bigger school for Bball is overblown... Gonzaga has <7500 students)
1B. Diebler (Ohioan, alum... if he kills it and they make the Dance... he needs a shot)
No. Oats (Covered for his players... not for tattoos, for MURDER)
No. Miller (Was pretty good, cheated to get great, now on a downward trajectory... hopefully Chargers follow suit)
Zeke snub is criminal... Taylor never sniffed the CFP while Zeke dominated it.
"DeBoer did not retrain Petitto"... I feel like a new coaching staff without much connection at all to the South would have made it a priority to keep this guy... oh well, P2 is going to be one hell of a tandem for the home team.
This hire is a depth charge... small splash, big boom.
I think best case is Hicks makes a huge jump and he, along with Simon and Styles, form an elite 3-LB rotation that can endure through a 16-game schedule. Then you throw in a 3-LB formation and/or a Jack package tailored to the situation or opponent...
Yeah, it's been a real long time since they've had a fair number of good players and they've never had a situation that implored everyone who is eligible to GTFO of the program all at once...
The offseason is a fever dream at this point... but in a good way.
Day can recruit the QBs... the other position coaches can handle the rest... Chip Kelly as your freaking OC kind of sells itself...
You hate to see it... lol
It's a shame Jeff Hafley couldn't stick it out one more year and get fired like a man lol. I thought OSU was done having to contend with the fallout of his career decisions, but I've got to hand it to him, he has an uncanny ability to know when it's time to move on and stays ahead of the curve...
They'll be the toughest Big 10 team OSU faces for sure... but they did lose twice to a Washington team that was just smacked by TCUN so... definitely beatable.
How do I order my pallet from the Treasury? lol
I see what you did there.
Alabama saw a lot of elite talent jump ship despite hiring another proven high-end coach, a program that has been the gold standard for the better part of two decades, and zero active NCAA investigations. The kids seem to like Moore and their hubris is clinical, but I still don’t see a future where at least a handful of their top remaining guys move on from the sinking ship. Moore has never run a program, Jim will likely poach his most productive coworkers, and he certainly won’t be able to run the ball 30 times in a row next season…
Reliving that botched throw to Chip made me a bit ill physically... realizing that play could have won the Peach Bowl just hurt my soul.
The way the headline described it I thought it would look akin to a block in the back. What this clip shows is 180 degrees from that scenario. She is an elite female basketball player with tremendous court vision... you can't tell me she didn't see that person coming...
Ideally, Will Howard performs at an elite level this season while advancing this team to a title. Sayin and Noland stay to battle it out to start in 2025 and perhaps even backup Howard this season depending on how Brown or Kienholz shake out in the Spring. There's an argument to make that keeps both on the roster... the CFB season will now be longer and more grueling than ever... and Florida State provided a case study this season in how one injured QB can completely implode what was chalked to be a CFP lock. If there is buy-in to a plan for both 5* to develop and get at least one season as a starter to audition for the NFL... when paired with a boatload of NIL money, it just might work.
He probably has a lot of value in other areas that merit retention but between Day and O'Brien it would be a waste to keep another QB guy at a countable staff position. Now unless there is a can't miss DL coach prospect to set up as heir apparent to LJ, the next move is too obvious...
